Wow ! Are you sure those photo samples are actually coming from the S Duos ! They are incredible. Unfortunately, there's no low-light condition pictures. It would be interesting.

slimberry, 06 Nov 2012This article starts off by dividing the potential dual sim ... moreI live in Indonesia. It is common to have 2 or even 3 mobiles in case there is too much congestion with one carrier. Also rates vary if you leave the city. Indonesia is one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the world with the 3 main each carriers having more customers than the entire population of some countries. Yes you do need more than one mobile. Me, I have 3, and even then in peak hour traffic they might not work with a voice call. Oddly the CDMA mobile works better for voice calls in the city than GSM most times.

slimberry, 06 Nov 2012This article starts off by dividing the potential dual sim ... moreThey are right, I have friends using dual sim to get benefits from 2 carriers in India, another reason is because of coverage problem, My father uses Dual Sim, one is Airtel which offers reliable service but poor coverages in some places and also while travelling, in that time state operated BSNL being helpful, it provides good coverage but can't be used as main sim as it's services are unreliable.

I have this phone, its nice and performance is acceptable. I can run all major games that dont require heavy 3D. But as said in this review, this could have a NovaThor or just a Cortex A8 would be nice, it would help a lot!

I would definitely pay more for this phone if was necessary. Dual sims are very interesting in some developing countries. Here in Brazil is much cheaper to pay a lot in a good phone once, than pay a lot in your cellphone bill every month. We have the second highest cellphone rates in the world. Here we pay almost a American dollar for every minute when calling to a different carrier.

This article starts off by dividing the potential dual sim card users. 1: Dual carrier user & 2: Travellers. I strongly disagree here.
For one, I have not met anyone around me (atleast), carrying two phones thus two numbers just to isolate benefits of two different carriers.
Secondly and mostly, I think a huge portion of dual sim card users would be for people who has Work mobile and separate personal mobile phones. (Like me, I carry S3 for personal, and work gave me iphone 5) It is annoying to carry two phones around, but definately worth doing for me, as I like to completely separate work calls from personal.

This phone's price is just too much. Alcatel OT-997D blow it away in every category and is much cheaper. Every MT6575(7) Android phone is better than this Galaxy S Duos.

Lenovo S560, P700i, and S880 are great alternative if you're looking for affordable dual-SIM smartphone.
the SIM-free / unlocked version phones are about US$190~250 here in my country.

S duos had better specs than desire v. With s duos you have front facing camera and you can also use 3g network on the 2 SIMs.

                                    What does it mean???

"Flash is not available out of the box and it failed to work even after we installed it. YouTube does support HTML5 videos, but they strain the chipset and the interface becomes sluggish"

how it will affect the phone?
i heard the phone is upgradeable to jelly bean. does it will be solved? does it will be better??

Self employed people find it very useful to have one SIM for work and one for personal calls. Expenses we can make tax claims for, plus being able to answer the phone "wazzuppppp!" when its not work calling.

The problem here is that it cost the same as or more than a DUAL CORE phone, i seen it in a store here in Phil and the price tag didnt at all imply that this phone ha so low specs, im very surprised to read this review and find out that its A5 + Adreno200.

Dual Sim better be very important to you if you buy this. Now, HTC phones dont work well, but those of us who are willing to live with the low performance of this Samsung are also willing to live with the lag and instability of HTC Sense, better buy that HTC Dual Core Dual Sim.

Lol at the swedish comment here. Theres no market for dual sim in sweden except a few teenagers. Plus, most who have company phone in scandinavia use the company phone and sim also for private stuff, at least i did when i worked in Norway.
