Anonymous, 24 Jul 2013HTC rep came into our store and gave me one to use, it's ac... moreThis is an oversized phone. not just the speakers but the design also is the reason for bulky size as htc one s was almost this size with no speakers.dual speakers is a passing fad. u wont be seeing it in models in the coming years, just like the boring, red backlit capacitive keys to match beats logo on sensation xe and one x plus.now all htc have gone back to white cap keys. htc first which is compact if came with sense ui instead of **** facebook ui, wud have been better than one mini.

HTC rep came into our store and gave me one to use, it's actually pretty decent, all of these little spec kiddies expect amazing tech built into every phone, it doesn't work like that. They have to cater to everyone, not just people who want all the bells and whistles.

Had they dropped the dual front speakers and kept the image stabilization the HTC One Mini would have been a good compact phone with an awesome camera, however they gimped the size and ruined the camera. A measly 5mm smaller than the HTC One and lacking in heaps of features, makes it a poor choice for a phone. qHD looks just as good on a 4.3" and the nicer amyloid screen with better sunlight legibility makes up for it. The Xperia ZR/SP or S4 mini are better buys.

the spec you want is on the ... moreI understand mini versions should never be equal to the flagship phones. But what they are giving for the price is below average. I know HTC's prices are always higher but this is too much.
HTC one mini should have the same spec as the Xperia SP. Its a shame, that such a good looking phone with a high price tag has 1 year old spec.
Besides, I never said the mini should have 1.7ghz quad core proc or a 2300mah battery or a 4.7 inch screen.

The display on S4 mini is better than my RAZR I which DOES have a pentile matrix and is the same resolution. Hope this helps.

Upon reading the given article it is perfectly clear that either go for HTC One mini or Xperia SP. Galaxy S4 mini fails to deliver the premium features and specs unlike these two.

HTC one lacks in many department like:
1. CPU (should have been 1.7Ghz)
2. GPU (should have had Adreno 320)
3. RAM (should have been 2gb or at least 1.5gb.
But it has the Killer looks.
Samsung S4 Mini is also no better than HTC one mini.
1. Boring looks along with same old plastics.
2. Battery a little low.
3. Low resolution.
4. GPU is average for a 540x960 resolution phone.
Alternate to Samsung S4 mini and HTC One are:
1. Sony Xperia SP
2. Sony Xperia ZR
Both xperia are of almost the same size of HTC one mini and has better price : performance ratio.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini vs HTC One mini vs Sony Xperia SP! Clash of the high-end mid-range 2013 phones (from each brand)! SP is priced less than S4 mini, even with it's better specs! Lets see how the One mini is priced!

Considering HTC 8x after seeing the spec, especially that 8x price is very cheap in ebay.
