Not a big fan of Samsung's design language, but perhaps that's the tradeoff for expandable memory and battery life -- I was very disappointed to see the G2 only have these features in the home market.
But, ugh, the S5 has disappointed me from a design standpoint. The bezel is ridiculous compared to the G2.

Its fairly amusing to think that despite being a pretty fair comparison of these flagship phones, the fanboys of either side begin to bash one another like angry butt-hurt teenagers.
The s4 was released before the g2 and it puts up a solid fight against it? I'm solely sold on replaceable batter and expandable storage.
Nothing else really matters as the AMOLED burn-in is complete BS overhyped hatred from LG fanboys and that LG COPIED Samsung are hardcore Samsung fanboys..
Get over yourselves.. S4 and G2 are a solid option either way, but I'd pick the S4 only because I like expandability and battery swapping (when the battery decides to finally give out )
Another note, AMOLED only has burn in if you press aggressively against it or leave your screen on for more than 3 hours on a single image... And having owned several AMOLED Phones, I haven't had any fail unless I had abused it myself.

The g2 is a piece of crap, can't get 4g LTE at ALL! Can't even get 4g, phone stuck on 3g all the time. Havent seen 3g in almost 5 years! My roommate and I literally sit side by side on the couch and he has a strong 4g LTE signal and I can only get 3g! And he has a galaxy 3!!! Sprint says I'm in an area with the best 4g lte reception they offer and nothing wrong with the network or tower..doubt anything wrong with the phone because I am seeing so many ppl with the same prob with this phone after doing research online..sprint has no answer for me and a rep finally told me that the phone has the worst 4g signal of any phone out and that is why the phone is so cheap/free because they just want to get rid of this phone altogether..DO NOT GET THIS PHONE IF U HAVE SPRINT!!! (not sure how it behaves with other provider networks)

Ahhmmm there are even lots of problems and issues reported to S4 regarding on hardware lots lots lots of it! but on g2 only few but majority are haters who are trying to talk sh*t like (not expandable memory it suck, plastic body, over saturated display) a bunch of like that Dafuq! and even s4's gimmicky features such as scrolling thing that doesn't even work properly e__e. people always say that yeah my s4 is just super cool coz it has this feature not like yours. yeah lots of features and lots of build flaws! Love your S4 and stop commenting crap shit to G2 coz it really gets into my nerves when someone is always commenting saying crap things to G2 when im using it! i read almost your comment and your always against G2, stop that crap mind your own phone. and stop replying to people telling g2 sucks!

Well the S4 is a good phone, camera wise better than G2, having owned one. My niggle there great hand warmers as they overheat big time. well mine did. and my friends 4 different S4's did. My G2 is awesome, and after 30 mins on Real Racing 3, is cool as a cucumber. Well Done LG.

At least Samsung's is removable so it's an easy swap; and you do not have to void your warranty, pry open, or send it away.
Burn-in is one of the most over exaggerated bs lies of Amoled. It's a rare case. Not much more often than dead pixels or dead LCD.
Galaxy users get addition magical air storage too...But you still have exchangeable physical memory that you know is there for sure and can be swapped around. Weather no service, no signal, anything.
Faster chip alone does not make an entire complete thing. The S600 is still very strong and S4 offers more in exchange and has S800 versions now too. Which in theory could give better battery life.
LOL! Belive your fanboysim. I never said it was extremely saturated, but it's not as close to perfect as they want you to believe. Mostly in the greens. Also the color profiles are actually slightly better calibrated on the S4. So all it offers is fairly accurate colors.
S4 you know off hand and up front it's not perfectly natural. But you get color profiles. In movie Mode the colors are very close to accurate while still retaining true blacks and massive contrast. So it is overall way more natural than just slightly better colors alone can ever fully be. With fake blacks and shiny contrast and still slightly saturated colors LCD by standard is also very far from this claimed "natural". In movie mode AMoled also scores one of the best white balances well surpassing almost every LCD. When in autobrightness the screen gets up to 34% brighter than normal and outshines the G2's sunlight legibility.
And what sensor does work well in low light? Little to none. Cameras also lose performance that way even with flash? Did you actually think that made sense????
And yes the scrolling, "air guesters" like answering calls, texts, viewing content like pictures, folders, text, and many things and screen shots all without touching the device. Group play, and many things. Out of blind fanboy jealousy you can call them all useless and gimmicks, but at least Samsung offers them when others do not. People in real life use them. To act like you it could be said all phone features are useless. At least Saung gives it's users choice. Which most things are optional and aim to cater to as many different people as possible. Also advanced multi tasking making Galaxy serious complete dominator of mobile multi task.
As well as slimmer more ergonomic design. And LG's obvious inspiration of Samsung design and touchwiz. Especially in G models.
And Note 3 does all these way better than S4.
I was not bad talking the G2 in any way. Just pointing out the obvious fact that as a whole package the S4 still has some strong advantages. Somewhat weaker chip or not.

S4 not blown away? try to look whats under the hood on LG G2s hardware. LG G2s over saturated display? dude you got it all wrong, maybe you mean my S4's over saturated display, coz G2s display is one of the most nearest to real life colors in terms of display result.

If you have seen the s4 and G2 in real life you can tell that the G2's ips screen wrecks the crappy samsung amoled. Also you can just get an app to completely hide the software buttons by GMD.

I Have used LGs, Samsungs, Apples and HTCs.
I got the SG4 a couple of months ago and just got the G2 and i love it. The G2 beats the Sg4 hands down.
