Recently went abroad and my Samsung GT-E2530 went on roaming mode. Had phone 4 years and never done this before when abroad and had no idea how to turn it off roaming. No instructions in manual so any ideas for future travels? Love the phone and no intention to upgrade if I don't need to.

For surfing the net I use a computer. It still does the job, battery is still very good so why change to something more 'advanced' when this model has everything i need.

Im bought this phone 4 years ago, and now I am the only one who has still his 4 years old phone. A phone doesn't need more than this, calling or texting someone is very easy, that's all I need. It's price is very good en he looks good. I even think this phone is better than an I phone for 400 euros

I purchased Samsung G-ET2530 on 9/05/2013 approx. a year ago from Vodafone and have had nothing but problems, it switch off on it own for no reason what so ever,only way to get it working is to open the phone remove and replace the battery. This phone has been in for repairs at least 4 Times, a formal complaint has been made requesting a replacement, it is now with the agents Tamet for repairs...I have been without a cell phone for the last 2 weeks...what more can be done...for an international organisation of Samsung magnitude very poor service, by the way I'm still waiting from someone from Samsung complaints office to contact me...what more can be done.

Hello guys,
I know that this is an old rubbish phone, but hey, it's just 2 years old, and guess what,
IT'S A BREAKER!
It is one of the best phones I ever ever had.
I had f480, S1, S2, iphone 4s etc,
And this phone is bangin'!
The design is fantastic, nice keys, good battery draining, very good updated menu !!!
So, let's make a statement here:
PROs
- Good to very good battery
- Good display colors and type, if you don't mind durable TFT, this is a superior tft lcd screen, and good resolution for text.
- Good quality camera for this price! even have night mode!
- Very good call quality.
- 500 msg maximum, but you can copy them to sdcard!
- VERY GOOD organised menu (contacts, msg- it even have a "conversation mode", music, files, alarm- updated options, browser etc. (overall opinion)
- Very good dimensions for a clamshell phone
- Good signal strength even when tough to get it.
- The sd card slod and jack 3.5mm makes this phone a jackpot.
CONs
- low quality made materials (but in case if you don't care how it will be looking in the future, this is not available)
- Second/ external mono display is almost useless, because it shows a very low brightness, (but from my opinion it's not so bad)
- at maximum volume, mp3 or radio on loudspeaker is starting to be very vague, fuzzy, which is very bad.
Final opinion- the phone of my life...
On the box writes "E2530 - Polished to Perfection".
