Samsung Galaxy 551

Why the hell manufacturers not concentrating on 3G video call camera as a mandatory feature?

The "Quadrant Advanced" benchmark,
Total#552, CPU#674, Memory#828, I/O#487, 2D#408, 3D#364.
This phone is awesome especially has a qwerty keyboard, when you use this phone in the outdoor, and you have to make a sms/email, this keyboard is a real help, because virtual/touchscreen qwerty isn't clear enough to see in the outdoor. Optimus One and this phone neither have a good LCD features (like amoled things), so you need a physical qwerty if you often using it in the outdoor, G551 win!
This phone is officially released in January 2011 in Indonesia, you cannot have it in retail store right now, but you can have it by visiting Samsung booth exhibition in mall.
Has a good ratio in performance+feature / price.
Rp 2.675.000 in Indonesia, it's kinda like $ 296 US Dollar.

I got just my Galaxy 551 and it is simply incredible. I do not have earlier experience about Android devices, but I still learn to use it without manual! I love it. Display is quite good, not that good as AMOLED but adequate. Keyboard is nice, and slide is robust, I think. If price of Galaxy 551 still drops, it is very good deal!

GSMArena must review this phone. ASAP
- 2010-12-24 15:47
it is as of now available at flipart ... 12,799
just not sure abt this ...
also some sites say it is 256k/262k or some 16M

Its specifications seem similar to the Samsung Galaxy Apollo(I5801), aside from the physical QWERTY keypad.
Again resolution (240*400) really sucks. Why cant Samsung come out with a phone that supports the standard HVGA 320*480 pixels for phones in this price range?
Besides that, only 256mb RAM and no promise of Gingerbread(Android 2.3).
I think LG Optimus One for the same price is a much, much better choice.
