Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) getting security updates

Himanshu, 27 October 2016

Samsung has started pushing out new updates to the 2016 editions of its Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 smartphones. Currently rolling out in Europe, the updates bring Android security patches - October patch for the Galaxy J5 (2016) and September patch for the Galaxy J7 (2016).

As is usually the case with OTA roll-outs, it may take some time for the update to hit your device. Meanwhile, if you feel impatient, you can manually check for the update by heading to your device's Settings menu.
