This solution was posted in the XDA forum about 8 years back! No more screen freezes. My phone got a second life!

Had... moreI have been using it from a long time it's very old it works good but some games a not available for this overall it's a good mobile but it looks is weird I am msg in with Samsung note 3 neo if u use it carefully it won't have any problem

Alas! My Note 3 Neo became non-usable on Aug 4th, 2022. Had been using it since September 2014....almost 8 years. The display gets frozen and non-responsive once fully booted into homescreen. All things prior to it...Samsung logo/charging/recovery menu/TWRP menu(if installed)/ fresh flashing of OS(Android 5.1.1) and even updating of apps on first boot...all work fine. But once I am about to use it, it gets frozen & pixelated. I don't think it is a hardware(display) issue. Unfortunately, no service/spares for old phones. Goodbye!

I bought this phone when it was released. Still using without any problem. Only the problem is some huge size games and latest apps can't be performed due to the lack of os upgration from lolipop and 2gb ram. Afterall, it gives outstanding performance and I love it.

I used to have this phone in like 2015 or 2014 I think and it was a great phone at the time and I don't have it anymore because it's now 2021 but overhaul good phone for it's time
