got mine for around 3 usd in eastern europe it didn't have a battery and a cracked front glass i installed android 11 on it and it's ok

I accidentally put my phone in washing machine in 2015 it stopped working, I threw it somewhere, today Tuesday June 4th 2019. I was packing my stuff and came across this still looks like new to me, I put it on charge and it's started working again. Amazing phone.

LOL

this phone is awesome ..its not a very big phone but it qualifies to be one of the best Samsung phone ....i have been using this phone for more than a year and i never had any problems with it .it fail down but its not easly broken and one real good thing i like about this phone are the sencers its an amazing device

Best smartphone I've had.
I got one when they were released and I'm still using it. Been in water, dropped multiple times, run Oruxmaps with my topographic maps as GPS. It has removable battery of which I have multiples for extended life and solar chargers. The only gripe is Samsungs bloatware (cr)apps that one cannot uninstall.
Samsung has made the new Actives all have non removable battery to make you upgrade when the battery expires. That really stinks.

Bought mine used a few years ago, with a balance warranty and having had a repaired carried out by Samsung. I have to say, this phone has been astonishingly good in my work- I am not easy on phones, using them for personal, hiking, mountain biking, travel, and journalism, I drop them, have them in pockets with keys and equipment, and so on. I have used Samsung's official Active case, which is pretty damn amazing with the level of protection it offers for minimal bulk. I have a hardened glass cover on the display, and that's all I've used for the years I've had this phone. The cam isn't the best, the processor is slow by today's standards, the on-board is small and now I'm having issues with apps that can only go on the on-board memory. BUT the phone has never let me down. I've only had to replace a USB port cover recently for like 5 EUR for the official Samsung one, and a cracked display cover. Oh, and batteries- the official Samsung ones from authorized dealers are terrible. I now buy from Akku King in Germany and they have gone past two years without issue, while Samsung's start going dead after 8 months. I also installed the Activity Zone app from the S5 Active on this. The phone is outdated, but it's got everything one would want- microSD, replaceable battery, water-resistance, the cheap and effective Active case. Nothing after this has been this good or rugged. The S8 Active might be the first consideration after the S4 Active, but I would still put it in a case to protect the armoring.

Yes it does restarts itself sometimes.. Just bought it and it's still giving me that problem

after 4 years of using it, it continously restarts with no reason, camera sucks a little on dark spaces, headphones microphone dont work anymore, only music, sometimes it freezes when i'm about to answer a call, weak mobile signal, getting hot as hell when spend more than 30 minutes on mobile data, but after all, on daytime photos are great, looks incredible nice after 4 years of intense use, no cracks and the chrome is perfect.
