i have the sg2..i have always thought the build quality, while good for plastic build( exept for pathetic batt cover) ,is a let down..the iphne looks good,, nokia n9 is amazing to hold and look at..the inside of the galaxy series of fones is top notch, the outer casings are,,,,well there just plain old ugly....when im out with friends and the fone come out of the pockets, its the iphone that everybody looks at.....just my opinion....i was expecting the gs3 to have a look that would make me upgrade instantly..but its not doing it...dam

If you remove the "Samsung" it could surely pass for one of those chinese imitation phones. Such a high end device and a low end design. I think don't think Samsung listens to the internet chatter otherwise they would know that majority of people don't want plastic for high end devices.

SO MUCH NOOBS HERE!
YOU CANNOT DETERMINE THE QUALITY OF THE CAMERA BY JUST LOOKING AT THE MEGAPIXELS ALONE. It is affected by several factors including the sensor size.
Please release a camera sample GSMArena so other mindless people here would not bother boasting their crappy 10000000000 Megapixels camera.

samsung fall on dig .. OMG.. HTC raised up. ONE family become so CUTE than the galaxy family.. S III is most ugly than sII..

Amazing design,it looks like galaxy nexus which I allready have. This is my next smarthpone, there is no other phone that can be compared with this one.Amazing multitasking,unlike some devices from the same price range(does iphone have multitasking at all).

I'll agree with most of the comments here saying that this phone is ugly...
However... After looking the actual reviews from different sites, the phone does not look bad after all..
The main reason for the design is to provide efficient handling of the phone despite its very large screen... There you have it....
WELL IF YOU THINK SIII IS VERY UGLY, OTHER PHONES WOULD BE VERY VERY UGLY BY THEN...

the reasons most phones are built from plastic these days is because:
1. its cheapper to repair
2. its lighter than metal
3. it more water resistant than metel

I think in terms of look HTC ONE X is better than S3. And also it's features are not that much amazing as we wanted in most rumored SMARTPHONE.

The Mali400 was pointless in the low-res SII, perfect for qHD (960 x 540), and too weak for 1280 x720. Again with the all.plastic body?
Seems like LG already has killed this phone with it's newest optimus with 2GB RAM and better screen, plus it's built of proper metall as a top of the range phone should be. And bigger battery too.
But, I'm sure this will sell much due to brand loyalty and mass marketing. The SII was also crap compared to competition, but sold like no one else.

Wow this phone is actually amazing. Better battery, pixals don't matter lol but they sure put a lot of features to camera. S2 camera rocks btw so this is just upgraded features. So far it better than htc one x and all the phones out lol I don't mind the plastic on the phone coz The S2 feels really good in my hands. So over all This phone is fantastic un everyway. Don't think the next iphone will beat this but it will match it in size and processor so just an upgraded Iphone, unless they come up without something genious rather than another upgrade :-)
