Sony xperia s has 12mp camera and same res of s3. Go for it.

if thats the specs im not buying it because Mali-400MP they should of went to Mali-600MP ser dual core is enough no need for Quad-core they should of but dual core 2.0GHZ and Mali-600MP ser with huge battery 2800mAh then it would beat all the phones too 2013

If all that is true, than it is disapointed.
At least they should have put 12 MP camera, I'm impresed only with screen resolution and a lil' bit of processor, speed is to slow (it should have be at least 1.8 MHz, because Nokia has single core with 1.4 MHz).
Processor, android 4.0 and screen will eat the battery ,only with browsing the web and listening to music at the same time, in half a day, regardless on 2050 mA.
Obviously android 4.0 needs very strong processor and battery to work normally.
Unlike the Nokia N8 which was released in 2010 with 680 MHz single core processor and Symbian 3^, and can be updated to Nokia Belle and work fluently as much stronger and better phones (plus it handle 12 MP camera).

Xperia S dont hav a Wifi direct and Xpandable MMC Slot..
I compared the camera of my Galaxy Note with my friends Xperia S.
Xperia S get down in cam dept.note captured awsme videos in 1080p with 8mp.
Xperia also did a 1080 with 12mp.
But the result was not as gud as note.

First of all, for all those who are going on and on about how "fuckin aweseome" this phone is.. ITS NOT EVEN OUT YET!
And, secondly, for those are comparing it with the HTX One X.. Again, ITS NOT EVEN OUT YET!
If we were to even consider the specification given here to be the actual specifications.. They're not of a great deal compared to the HTC One X.
The S3 only has Super AMOLED and not Super AMOLED Plus (No improvement there, just deeper blacks). Compare that to the HTC One X, its got a Super IPS LCD2 (Even the reviewers say it is a Super AMOLED killer, over-all eye catching colours).
Samsung as usual producing another Korean plastic toy (No improvement here either!), whereas the HTC One X has a solid unibody (Much needed improvement, one would reckon it should be a must in high end smart phones)
And the rest of the specs are just about the same, unless you are to consider 4g weight difference, 0.1 inch display size difference.
And whats with people going on and on about "memory card slot"? You are just going to remove the god damn memory card and shove it in some memory card reader right? Might aswell just connect your phone using the Data Cable? It will still give you "THE SAME" data transfer rate! Why the cribbing?
All in all, with these specificatiions, I dont find the SGS3 being any different. Its just another new korean plastic toy, nothing unlike its predecessors. Period.

Go for sony xperia s. You will be satisfied. Samsung mobile has bad sound quality even in high end phones. Even my sony ericsson live with walkman outputs better sound than my friend's galaxy s2.

I've seen 12 mp for the camera on this spec list before. It has now changed to 8 mp. I think the phone will come out with a 12 mp camera. The NOTE is 8 mp and maybe that is why they would come out with an 8, so as not to deter sales away from the NOTE. If they come out with the 8 mp camera, I will shop elsewhere!

really have to say this people when it comes to battery power in my galaxy note is very bad as these s series from samsung has been doing well i dont mind picking up a galaxy s3 rather than wating for note 2
