You guys just don't get it. You can hate Samsung as much as you want, but the sales and profits speak for themselves.
Let's talk about quality. Since many are apparently Appal fanboys, we'll compare the i5 to the S3. These were reported issues and are easily researched, so troll somewhere else if you don't want to acknowledge the facts:
S3: -Problems with color matching on Blue handsets pre-production. Phones were not released to public
-Reports of some phones that wouldn't boot after several months of use.
i5: -Apple Maps debacle
-"Light Leaks" on some white models (manufact. issue)
-Battery draining/overheating issue (ios issue - happened before with i3)
-Some phones won't connect to Wi-Fi
- "Blue Haze" in bright light photos (didn't happen with i4s - direct comparisons available)
-Rattling inside some phones (manufact - battery not properly set)
- Date and time bug
- Some phones have screen flicker then screen freeze.
As far as cheap plastic, well, I don't hear users complaining about the baked enamel on the S3 being easily scratched like the aluminum on the i5.
At this point in time, Samsung clearly has a better understanding of the mobile phone market than Apple does. Apple could have gone with microUSB or the same connector, they didn't, coming up with another proprietary interface.
No memory card slot, no NFC, no removable battery. You may say big deal, but there are people that these things make a difference.
The sales figure and profits speaks for itself.

how one would summarize 'samesung' innovations; same sh*t, different year. As much as nokia failed to rise to the challenge of creating or making the ultimate smartphone, most manufacturers seem to be leading in the same direction. Gone are the days when you used to hold a flagship phone one would awe in amazement and marvel at its features. For me samsung phones nowadays feel and look the same. Only the S2 was a cut above the rest. To me thats where they got it right. Software, hardware, design were flawless. If only they listened to their customers. Compared to other phones, samsungs are a bit better in terms of functionality but apart from that poor suckers resort to buying em because they dont have a choice. Driven by their love of technology and a phone that comes close to satisfying their desire of having the 'ultimate smartphone'. For as the S4, hai...

I wouldn't care much about the number of cores that a phone has provided it already has a quad core that is capable of handling LTE bands. I don't like a phone with 8 cores but useless coz it doesn't have LTE compatibility. If only Lenovo was able to make the K900 LTE capable then I might go for it considering its only dual core but the intel processor clocked at 2GhZ really is a beast but still i9505 is LTE ready that is why I might go for it but I have to be honest, the design still sucks big time! Sony Xperia Z would have also been a good choice but S4 Pro had been killed by the Snapdragon 600 used by HTC One, LG Optimus G Pro and some Samsung Galaxy S4.

Just go for s2 4.3" or s3 4.7". Or htc one, sony x z. We wont miss u.

Very bad move from samsung.. seems samsung doesn't have creative designing team for producing outstanding design for the premium range like galaxy S series. Very much boring look and another minus point is Screen Size.. premium users don't like to carry such a big screen phone.. ideal screen size is 4.3 or 4.5 maximum...
