Sony delivers Android 4.4.3 to Xperia T2 Ultra

12 September, 2014

Just when it started to seem that Sony has sent all its software engineers on long vacation, we got the news that the company has released an update for one of its more recent smartphones. The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, which got promoted to 4.4.2 KitKat in July has now received another platform boost via an update.

The new firmware is based on the latest available Android 4.4.3 and brings all the minor tweaks and security enhancement that Google introduced with it. Along with that Sony has worked on optimizing the memory consumption and smoothing up performance even further.

The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is also treated to some stability improvements with an unconfirmed number of bugs being smashed. There doesn’t appear to be anything new on the functionality or UI front, meaning that the smartphone should look and behave mostly the same after the update.

Thanks, Anurag for the tip!
