Even with only 512mb RAM, Android 4.3 can run smooth and quick thanks to light and fast Xperia UI. And I think Sony will give this phone 4.4 KitKat update 3-5 month later.
If you're looking for WP skinned phone with no GMS (Google Mobile Services) go with Nokia X.
And with 512mb RAM it can run Android 4.1 smooth and quick too thanks to Fastlane UI but NO GOOGLE PLAY STORE.

If u looking for camera this phone definitely not recommended.
If u looking for perfomance then buy high end one (Xperia Z, Z ultra, etc.)
So, buy phone depending on what do u need.

Yes I know dual sim is more expensive :-) I mean, in sony site, it said e1 with dual sim has front camera+flash and some people said the information in sony site is wrong also in this site (gsm arena) it said it's not have front+flash camera so which one is true???
Actually I don't like dual sim phone, but if the e1 dual sim has this feature, then why not?
Also does dual sim consumption more battery life?
Oh anyway, what is sony stamina feature? Hehe :-)

This phone isn't bad at all, to get one thing out. However, I have a massive gripe with the fact that the screen is 4 inches. What the hell? Sony, understand that if people want to buy a 4 inch phone, they won't buy this phone with bare specs. I think a ~3.5 insanely cheap phone with the intent to sweep the masses like old school nokias did, a 4 inch phone that is quite good(exactly like what the xperia m was), EXACTLY 4.3 inch Z2...3...4 Compact(really important, seeing your trend you really want to enlarge compact devices), patch the way through, ~5 inch flagship and some tablets.
That is, if I was given the plan for smartphones.
