I think this phone is already good enough
With 13 gb, you can store many of the android apps, 13 gb for me is not a small amount for storage
The problem is the price.. How much would it be? So let's just wait.. I hope it's reasonable enough..

Of course you can buy a USB flash drive with a USB to micro USB adapter to connect it to the phone because the phone has USB on the go function. Therefore you can copy the phone memory content to the USB drive.
But it is extremely slow and cumbersome. And you still cannot have more than 13 Gb of mp3, video, photos.. on your phone at one time.
Silly Sony, how hard is it to have a memory card slot, even all 30 $ chinese phones have it ! And with Full HD video, 13Gb memory is fast full.

Was it so difficult to include a memory card slot ? Only 13 Gb available ! Very wrong decision from Sony...Especially as the phone is not really thin. Cannot think of a single reason.

I don't have any cribs regarding design or battery or absence of card slot. The deal breaker for me is the unjustifiable overprice. A mid-range phone with a price tag more than high-end Samsung Galaxy S II?! Sony got to be kidding us!

I was really hoping that someone would release a smaller 4" phone.

                        WhiteMagic info:
                        http://developer.sonymobile.com/wp/2012/02/27/introducing-whitemagic-the-technology-in-xperia-p/

That may be a 50% screen saving but how much battery usage would that equate to? 15% saving?

The other fear is that too much white would make colours look washed out in normal light. I guess Sony would have allowed for that and would have built in logic to allow a higher proportion of white light (note I said proportion) in bright sunlight where it would be useful and is less likely to create a washed out look.

But no memory card slot rises a question mark whether to buy this or not?!!
Talk time is average only. Eventhough optimized chipset and white magic technology introduced, while coming to call usage the talktime should be atleast more than 7 or 8 hours. Experts can u advice on this??

The Sony Xperia P looks to be a great mid-range phone and may be a more economic choice than th Xperia S...8MP/HD camera, WhiteMagic technology, BRAVIA engine, Dual-core 1 GHz & sleek aluminium finish. There is no real need for External mermory as it should support cloud services such as Dropbox. The only con for me is that it will be shipped in Android v2.3 Gingerbread. So it would be best to wait until the 4.0 version is released... @siphotwit1

                                    TL;DR for previous post

Xperia P has reduced battery size to keep the pphone size down

Xperia P has an efficient chipset and super efficient screen

Despite reduced battery capacity, will outdo any other phone out in the market with larger battery capacity at similar screen brightness settings

gagan , 29 Feb 2012why the hell battery capacity is reduced compared to previo... moreBattery size has been reduced because of aesthetic reasons

Also, a larger battery size isn't necessary this time round, as the Novathor chipset is much more power efficient compared to the Qualcomms used in the 2011 Xperia range within the same power envelope

The whitemagic screen consumes the same amount of power as standard LCDs while being twice as bright, and consumes less than 50% of the power than standard LCD found on phones today at similar brightness settings

The screen of the Xperia P wouldn't even be used at 50% brightness (500cd/m^2) for the most part, and will more likely remain used at 30% at below, which accounts for its screen draining but 1/4 to 1/3 of what standard LCDs will at the same brightness at those brightness levels (take the Law of Diminishing Returns into account, if you even know what it means)

The P may have only a 1300mAh battery, but it'll easily outdo phones out today, with larger batteries like the Galaxy Nexus and Droid RAZR for example, by far.
