Sprint starts rolling out LG G4 Marshmallow update

Himanshu, 18 December, 2015

Sprint has started rolling out the Marshmallow update to LG G4 devices on its network. The update, which bumps the software version to LS991ZV9, also includes the carrier's Global Roaming feature.

With the update, Sprint LG G4 owners will be able to access all the usual Android 6.0 features, including Doze, which promises improved battery life with lower standby power use; Google Now on Tap, using which you can get more information about whatever is on your screen; and redesigned app permissions.

Sprint's updates are usually released in stages, so it may take some time before the Android 6.0 update hits your device. Meanwhile, you can manually check for it by heading to your handset's settings.

Did anyone notice the 'No Interruptions' feature has been replaced with 'Do Not Disturb'? Until last night's update I could access from QSlide. Can't find it now, and even looked in Settings-General. What gives?
