Super tough Cat B100 featurephone goes official

The trend of dust and waterproof phones continues with the latest announcement of Cat B100 ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Just like previous B15 model, the Cat B100 is also designed to withstand a 1.8 meter drop in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes. The phone also has the ability to work in temperatures ranging from -25C to 55C.

Cat's newest rugged addition comes with a 2.2-inch display with QVGA resolution. The featured phone is powered by a MediaTek 6276W processor, which supports 3G networks. There is also a 3 megapixel rear camera and you get 128MB or 64MB of internal memory that can be expanded via the microSD card.

B100 is IP67 certified and packs a 1,150mAh battery that should last for about 10 hours on talk time. The device measures 123 x 56 x 17.5mm and weighs about 136grams.

Cat B100 will go on sale in the European market, starting from today and the rugged device will be available in other markets later this quarter.

No, it does NOT use Android. I can't imagine where did you pull that information, but is is nowhere near powerful enough to run Android.

this phone uses android just like every other phone that uses android you can sync everything to your google account
