Week 18 in review: LG G4, Xperia P2 and Blackberry devices

03 May, 2015

Another week has passed and so it's time to recap the major events to the tech scene from the last few days. As most of you surely know, the LG G4 is official and it delivers on everything the rumors promised. LG's flagship comes with a very distinctive style due to its genuine leather stitched back and very slightly curved display.

Sony has also had a major presence in the news this week. For anyone that might have missed it, the long-overdue Xperia Z4 was made official, but in a rather surprising fashion. Quietly launched in Japan the phone might lose the Z4 moniker on international markets, and instead be called the Z3+.

Blackberry also came out with a major surprise this week. Three mysterious new devices have leaked in photos and renders, including a very interesting slider with a double-edged touchscreen, much like the one on the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge.

In other news, after a lot of speculation, Nokia has officially denied plans to re-enter the smartphone market next year. The decision is still shrouded with a lot of controversy, though, so here's to hoping the legendary company will reconsider its retirement from smartphones.

If you think you might have missed something from the busy week, here is a list of what you, our readers, found most interesting in the tech world.
