Week 27 in review: OnePlus 2, iPhone 6s, Galaxy Note 5

You know the drill - another week, another quick recap. Lest cut straight to the chase - rumors and lots of them. The news section has been practically overflowing with various leaks, speculations and insider tips, so much so, that the few actual phone announcements got a little overlooked.

Let's see what the gossip is all about. First is the OnePlus 2. The device is still about a month away, with the official unveiling set for July 27 through a Virtual Reality event, but excitement is building fast.

During the past few days, we managed to catch a glimpse of the OnePlus 2 in a couple of alleged photos and hear of a dual-lens camera setup, a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C connector. It is hard to say whether any of the aforementioned holds some truth, but one thing is for sure - the OnePlus team has once again managed to launch an impressive guerrilla marketing campaign.

Moving on to Samsung. The Korean giant reportedly has a few new devices in development. The Galaxy S6 Plus will come with a 3,000 mAh battery pack to power its 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and Snapdragon 808 SoC.

Then there's the Galaxy A8. We have already discussed the device at length and have most of its specs figured out thanks to various leaks. Furthermore, a rather interesting TENAA hands-on video of the device also surfaced online, so, it is safe to say that the A8 is no longer shrouded in mystery.

A few other rumors worth noting, include an unknown Sony device, alleged specs of the Xiaomi Mi 5, images of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and some more details on the LG G4 S. Microsoft have also been keeping busy with the Lumia business. Rumors have surfaced about a new face tracking feature, an upcoming QHD model, some more info on the Lumia 940 XL and to top it all off, a mysterious front panel - allegedly for the Lumia 1030.
