Week 28 in review: Galaxy Note 5, iPhone 6s, Xiaomi Mi5 Plus
Another week flew by and tradition dictates that once again we take a look at the news section and round up the most interesting stories of the past few days. Rumors are still the name of the game as the tech world can't wait to see what the next round of releases brings.
Samsung is still gathering gazes with news of the upcoming Galaxy Note 5. The next successor to the legendary Note series is said to feature a 5.67-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and a reworked Exynos 7422 SoC. Sadly, it might lose the convenience of a removable battery.
The Korean giant is also allegedly working on a bigger S6 edge Plus device, which promises the convenience of a phablet display in a stylish and more simplistic package, if that is to your liking. The metal frame Galaxy A8 has also been popping up in the news lately, suggesting that it is also getting close to an official release.
Industry sources have suggested that Sony might try to redeem itself after the Xperia Z3+, Z4 and out a completely redesigned Xperia Z5 flagship. It does look promising and we can only hope that the Snapdragon 820 that will power it doesn’t end up in an overheating fiasco like the current 810 chip.
Naturally, the next iPhone has also been frequenting our rumor mill. Previous Cupertino release schedules dictates that it shouldn't be long before the 6s model starts creating mass hysteria.
And to top things off, a new LG G Pro 3 might be on its way to a release. The huge 6.0-inch phablet is said to feature a 20.7 MP camera and cost a whopping $790 - quite a few bucks more than the G4 flagship. Also, be sure to read on the latest Microsoft - Nokia development and check out how Windows 10 Phone is coming along.
