WhatsApp reaches 900 million monthly active users

WhatsApp has surpassed 900 million monthly active users, according to a Facebook post by CEO Jan Koum.
WhatsApp crossed 800 million monthly active users back in April and around 600 million around this time last year. The company was acquired by Facebook back in February 2014 for $19 billion and since then has seen consistent growth. India remains the biggest user base for WhatsApp, followed by Brazil.
