Still not find reason to turn from from this phone in 2024; stable processing, still good in camera, wifi, fast 4G, the wide screen good for the poor in sighting Still love it more and longer another year..

I bought this smartphone on 22 May 2017 and I use it everyday because this is the only phone I have
It is still in perfect condition, have not replaced anything, even the battery , although it becomes to die faster but at 1% the phone is still on. 👍

This is the first Xiaomi mobile I have ever used. And also, it's the cheapest smartphone I've ever bought. So, I'd say I'm amazed to see it's quality at it's price. I bought this mobile in August 2016 and now, it's 2022 and still, it works fine. Battery is still good and eveything is fine. Hence, I'm still using it. So, it's been 6 years of using this mobile.
During this 6 years, there was no problem except the display which is the biggest weakness of Xiaomi mobiles. Xiaomi mobile's display damages every 2 years. But luckily, unlike Samsung, the cost for replacing the display is reasonable and acceptable price, so, I could replace it instead of buying a new one. This is one of the advantages of Xiaomi. While I'm using this mobile, I have replaced display twice and I think after 2 years, the display spare will be out of stock and so, I might have to buy a new mobile phone after 2 years. Yet, it still amazed me that a smartphone lasts for 8 years.
To conclude this review, this mobile is really, really good at it's price. It was really worth buying it.

I would say the PPI comparison is pointless here, since Mi Max 342 ppi is still considered very high compared to Poco M3 395 ppi.
Sharpness for both screen I would say still the same, since our eye still cannot differentiate single pixel even look very close. The only key different is the zoom effect, where on Mi Max's larger screen, you can see more details which appear very small on Poco M3 screen where your eye might not able to see. Now on Mi Max screen, the smaller detail become bigger and easier to be seen on our eye,let your eye have an impression on seeing more details/more resolutions. You can try with Android tablet and you will get almost the same effect, but due to tablet screen already so large, you start to see the ugly pixels of apps that is not optimized for big screen.

Just like iPhone or iPad with 326ppi altough lower density but great LCD make it sharper like other flagship

This Mi Max support QC3.0, buy a QC3.0 charger to get 18W charging instead of other non-compatible fast charger. Cable can be any Micro-USB cable that support data transfer to have 18W charging, those Micro-USB cable that rated 2.0A all support 18W charging.
Battery degrade depend on charge cycle and life time. Since this Mi Max already so many years, the original battery already degrade much. Find a proper Xiaomi service center to ask for replacing new battery.

It charge at around 12W and doesn't really increase much from the original 10W charging.
It still take around 2 hours and 15 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%. Can use any QC3.0 charger. There are test saying using QC2.0 charger will charge faster, charging at 15W, around 2 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.

I'm just wondering about this Phone how to manually Flash ROM, because i can't on the EDL by software anyone have try. Trying to Flash to the latest ROM this is my friend phone that i curious about. Anyone have active the EDL. Thank you.

Added 128 GB micro SD card into 4 years old Mi Max, enjoying new experience with bigger space of storage. Keep patience in moving data from internal to external storage.

Used 4,5 years, still like new! Excellent phone!
Only one thing, my battery started to die faster... Changed to new Samsung phone, but still missing my old XIAOMI !

Why is this phone resolution better than Poco M3 when the ppi is different? Mi Max has better brightness and resolution eventhough Poco M3 is new. I had to put brightness more than half just to make it brighter for the Poco. I guess prices does make a different.

My problem is internal storage memory of only 32 GB which not sfficient to accomodate expanding each application when they update.
