LG G3 sales in Korea reach 100,000 in 5 days

05 June, 2014

While the rest of the world is waiting for availability those lucky enough to be in LG's home South Korea have been buying the LG G3 at a crazy pace. In its first 5 days of selling the LG flagship has reportedly passed the 100 thousand unit mark.

That makes sense since we knew it was outperforming its rival Samsung Galaxy S5 in a whopping fashion - 25-30K a day versus 7-8K for the Samsung flagship.

Last year's LG G2 saw around 10,000 units sold per day in its first 5 days which means the LG G3 is twice as good a sales performer.

Still LG's choice to sell the G3 in South Korea only and not globally from day one does have its consequences. The Samsung Galaxy S5 sold 10 million units in its first 25 days, which means around 2 million units in just 5 days, but that one was available in 125 markets at launch.

Of course Apple is this the king of opening weekend sales - 5 million in just three days.

Anyway, we are hoping LG loses no more time and unleashes this QHD beast to Europe this month and other markets hopefully soon.

lg made z2 and s5 outdated in no time ... Koreans proved it with sales .... no need of marketing ... quality proves ... feedback from g2 owners are enough for g3 sales
