After 6 years of heavy use, my OnePlus 6 mobile died suddenly. I have given that mobile for repairing. Let's see if it's come alive again.

Using OnePlus 6 since 2018 with very good experience. Battery life has been severely degraded but performance is like that of new.
But, recently my selfie camera has stopped working and any app, that uses Camera, crashes suddenly. Mobile repairing center said, it is problem in CPU. Anyone has same issue like this? Please share your solution if you had faced similar problem.

After switching back to Oneplus orginal charger the battery fixed itself and blank ranges of it disappeared.

By the way I hope Oneplus will introduce 7 years support for its smartphones. It's very important. Argument that nobody keeps them smartphone that long sucks. Even if true there are second owners and they should enjoy the best experiance including security possible. It's also "green" as we should use things as long as they are able to serve the purpose well.

It's time for a new one. It's a pity that oneplus offers only 5 years of support. It's definietly not long enough. Might be a deal breaker, especially fur such huge price of new ones.

Got this phone back in April 2020 for the sole purpose of getting a custom ROM on it to degoogle it. Been using it daily ever since. No problems with it. I shattered the back glass pretty bad last summer so I took the excuse to replace the battery too while at it with one I found on a local website. Battery life was pretty great, and now it's even better. It's a 2018 phone that lasts me at least an entire day, all while getting official monthly updates from LienageOS for microG. What else could I want? The only other phone that could've been better would've been a Pixel to get GrapheneOS on it. Great piece of hardware. Worth all my money. I probably wouldn't get the same phone now in 2024 since it's a tad bit old, but if you're looking to cheap out, I wouldn't look elsewhere.

Worked flawlessly for 5 ... moremine was overheating at some point too, like i was just watching youtube videos, and the screen could burn your fingers type of hot, and same when charging, but after some time passed (few months, maybe a year), it just fixed itself, and the phone is now cold / light warm. The only software bug is that top bar sometimes gets stuck in the middle of animation, and then you need few more swipes down until it starts working again, like a rusty draw.

Had it for 5 years. 8/128 version. Worked flawlessly for 5 years and had no issues literally. but after the 5th year I have started seeing issues with the device like hanging, overheating, display gumming issues due to overheating, lotta lag and apps crashing, Alert slider issues apart from these everything works fine. I dropped the phone several times and yet it remains unbreakable.

best phone I've ever had. Lasted me 5 years, the battery only started showing its age this year so I swapped it out, so I would have used it for another few years if it weren't for the 64GB being not enough in 2023. The software, Hydrogen OS (CN model) ran very smooth and never gave me any trouble. The minor complaint I had was Oppo adding some weird system apps in one of the last updates the phone got but I just uninstalled it via USB debugging using a debloater tool.

Surprisingly the 845 still ran genshin impact although at basically the lowest settings, but it was perfectly playable.

I'm almost sad to say goodybye to it, but it served me well in the past 5 years.
                                    goodnight old friend.

Great phone, camera slow, not great but usable. But the rest of it has just worked. It's 5 years old and just works, still. Low bloat os probably has a lot to do with it, wouldn't buy another with the oppo os, asking for trouble. Pixel or iPhone next.
