jpn4, 12 Jun 2024Has anyone used or tried that battery protection option yet... moreIt's basically of no use doesn't help in improving the battery life you can (so call) increase the battery life of your phone by switching to one of the modes available. I'm really struggling to get a decent battery life on my phone, the standby time is great drops around 2-3% overnight but the problem starts when I start using it that too for the basics like WhatsApp calls, browsing, YouTube videos then it tends to go down drastically forget about gaming here. I don't know what's the issue when I check the apps using battery it shows as YouTube 5% WhatsApp 4% and so on but still the SoT is around 4 hours, battery health shows "Normal" everything seems fine but still can't get enough on this 5000 mAh. Disappointed!!

    Sethu Jay, 12 Jun 2024Observed new issue, screen flickering just after new OTA So... moreHi I am also facing the same issue, it's not an issue related to the update, it's been happening to s22ultra for a long time, my phone has the same issue after January 2024 update but in a day or 2 it got fixed itself, but after the latest 6.1 issue the problem is permanent,only running it in 60hz fixes the issue and it would blinki everytime the lockscreen is turned on,the only way to fix this is by changing the screen
    This is what I was told by samsung care, they were having a replacement program for Indian s22ultra until April 30th 2024, but after that they are not willing to change the display, A$$hole samsung, never gonna recommend or buy a samsung, my phone is just 2 years old and they are refusing to change the display,

          jpn4, 12 Jun 2024Has anyone used or tried that battery protection option yet... moreI started using it since yesterday morning with the "Basic" option turned on. The difference I could see was it dropped by 2% overnight (which is great) now let me check how it behaves during the day.

            Has anyone used or tried that battery protection option yet? And if so, any difference? I don't know whether should I turn on/off or what's the best option.

              I did a factory reset as I'm getting horrendous battery life on my phone after the last update. I've put all the unused apps to deep sleep, turned on adaptive battery on with basic mode on, dark mode with standard refresh mode & few more toggles. Earlier I used to get around 6-7 hours of SoT but now after May update it has drastically reduced to 4 hours with no gaming, just YouTube videos, web browsing, WhatsApp calls, camera & editing apps. I hope it gets back to normal with the future updates!!

                Observed new issue, screen flickering just after new OTA Software Update. Temporary solution, disabled Adaptive refresh rate (set for 60Hz default). This could remove the flickering behavior but still can see some screen flashing on top left bar when everytime turning on the phone. Also the half of screen is abit yellowish. Expect Samsung to fix this issue ASAP in the next patch, rather than forcing samsung fans to buy new devices everytime. First time felt disappointed using Samsung smartphone since being a loyal fan for around 10years.

                  Correction on my previous post: it wasn't the June patch at all, just another update with fixes, still the May patch. Perhaps it also contains a fix for the battery draining issue many users experience?

                    I just got the June patch, around 280MB, probably just bug fixes and security fixes.

                      The May update ruined my phone. I just updated last night the slept after the phone reboots. And when I woke up this morning, there's now a green line between the phone's display. Nice update samsung

                        Battery has taken a hit for sure. I was getting quite good screen on time before the latest update but now it's getting worse around 4-5 hours with 20% juice left. I checked on the battery usage and none of the apps are draining battery that much like: YouTube-5%, WhatsApp 3%, camera 2% and so on but still the SoT is poor. Any solution to this headache? First it was the camera which has been degraded I don't know why & now the battery is behaving abnormally.

I'm pretty disappointed with it's camera like being such an expensive phone it fails to deliver the basics.

                                  After the latest security patch, I just managed to get the best SoT ever on my S22 Ultra with 8h23m. Usually it was always around the 6-7h mark.

                                      My battery condition also says "normal" but it's still very good.

                                      I have not used the option of the battery protection mode so far.
