This phone is dead.
In fact, for their 4 years software support burden, I suggest Samsung to ask owners to get A55 from Samsung instead, direct exchange.

A defective motherboard shouldn't cause performance issues, because in systems with such complexity - it either works or not. Obviously a device could have (there is a possibility) thermal management issues due to vapor chamber issues, but that is NOT a motherboard related issue

          UPDATE: M55 stops selling on Amazon India.

          With 2.3 stars out of 5, most users complained of overheating while video recording, isplay issues, pathetic battery life, camera speed/performance below average even though quality was ok, etc.
          M55 and its Samsung made Snapdragon is dusted now.

            Nord has a bigger battery 5500mah, M55 has 5000mah.
            Now, I know bigger battery doesn't always last longer, courtesy display/OS/hardware, etc. but I'll be able to talk more when I meet the CE4 owner again... Lately, she's not coming around.

            About not heating, try video recording or something for 2 minutes or so. Once again, its quite possible you got a good piece by luck.
            TSMC has a success rate of 70%~, Samsung has 34%~ or so. So, chances of defective motherboard are more. Lucky for you, you got a good piece.

                Anonymous, 30 Apr 2024I hope yours is not an isolated experience and that they in... moreConsidering that this phone launched in March, and we don't even have a Hands-On review, I can conclude only one thing:- The phone is so bad, GSMArena has avoided writing anything and informed Samsung of it.
                Even phones launched in April like CE4 have hands on ready.

                I go to a big mall store, they have all phones, except M55.
                A small mobile store has only 1 piece of M55, and even its retail package (I checked myself) doesn't mention its specs. No mention of 7 Gen 1 at all, like even Samsung knows not to promote it.

                GSMArena have avoided being too critical of Apple and Samsung, obviously, but they do maintain reasonable honesty where its visible.. So they just avoided writing anything.

                  Get a better Oneplus Nord CE4, I'm talking from my personal experience. Better device in all matters, and has a microSD slot like M55 too.

                  NOTE: M55 has severe overheating and video recording & hanging problems. it maybe a Snapdragon but it is made in Samsung foundry and this shows.

This resolution was a hit back in the 2000s, but let's make peace with the fact that we are 20 years in the future, so Samsung really needs to pull up its socks when other brands are providing much better specifications at similar price brackets.
