Low Jay, 18 May 2024How much is it at your location broNew Note 13 Pro+ costs 1800 PLN (which equals to 420 euro), that is almost half minimum wage in my country (4242 PLN, which equals to 1000 euro). So nearly 2000 PLN and I'm not spending that much for a phone. For me it's better to save what's left of this money for new pc, because it's getting old and slow

In the end anyway, I decided to choose Redmi Note 12 Pro because of headphone jack. Software updates are irrelevant anyway nowadays. Gone are the days of technological revolution and Android 5 or 6 where every update would bring something huge to the table. Android 14 will be perfectly fine for long years to come.

You're quite right about 67w charging, but I always slow charge my phone through night anyways, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest. And then the battery holds for longer. However, Redmi has punch hole display, but it has miui / hyperos which i don't like. There's a compromise on every side. So at this point, I might as well go for a device that has longer software support to save a bit of cash. Maybe Redmi Note 13 Pro would be better, but I heard there are overheating issues in daily usage since Snapdragon 7s gen 2 was manufactured by Samsung and this is why I'm looking at a device with processor manufactured by TSMC and Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55. I just want something that will last longer. Therefore, once again I'm asking - how many years of support on Redmi Note 12 Pro?

I eventually bought the phone and I report that yes, Dimensity 1080 has HEVC 10bit support, at least that's what MXPlayer is saying.

Hello everyone! Does Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G (Dimensity 1080) have video hardware decoding for HEVC/H.265 10bit?
My old Redmi Note 10s has and I'm looking to get a new phone. I've bought the Motorola G84 but lacks support for 10bit, even if it has hardware accelerated playback for HEVC, so I had to return it. I don't want to repeat the process with Note 12 Pro :)
*you can see the hardware support in MXPlayer, for example, in the Settings -> Decoder -> HW+ video codecs.
