In case you were wondering how much will a fully loaded Microsoft Surface Book set you back, we have an answer for you. The Redmond giant quietly added a variant of its ultimate laptop with 1TB of flash memory for pre-order for a rather substantial $3,199.

Considering that a sales tax must also be added in the United States, the final price that a user will have to pay for the gorgeous notebook will easily enter the $3,500 range. For comparison, Apple is also asking $3,199 for a fully loaded version of its latest Macbook Pro with 15” Retina display.

In addition to sporting a generous 1TB SSD, the Surface Book to rule them all also comes with the latest generation Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and bespoke GPU by NVIDIA.

Despite its massive price tag, the Surface Book appears to enjoy brisk demand. Even the fully loaded variant of the notebook is not expected to begin shipping in 7-8 weeks.

Buy a Windows 10 laptop with SSD like MacBook has. Performance should be a bout the same. You get way more apps and more legacy software with Windows 10.
