That CPU cannot possibly be up to the task, despite the small screen and low resolution. I got rid of an android phone with a 600MHz CPU because it was to slow.

I've only used the black version and the quality seemed to be good but its all in plastic, even the borders. The keyboard's keys felt like to be strong.

Hi guys,
I had the occasion to use this phone in a shop (in belgium the phone is already released) and the reason why I didn't buy it is because of the screen: it's a resistive touch screen! And when acer said that an update to android 2.1 will be available before the end of the year, I though it would be nice with the multi-touch. But with a resistive touch screen, there is no way.
However when you read the specs you may think that the phone'll be slow (with a 400Mhz proc) but i can tell you that it is not a problem, the phone is fast and fluid, at least in the menu and the launcher, and the keyboard is really nice!

Mmmmh? The prospect of an android qwertybar is really rather interesting. Will this begin a new surge against Blackberry just like the current surge against iphone? I guess since only Acer and Motorola have done this so far, its a bit soon to tell but if HTC or SE make one too, then its GAME ON! I wonder though, does anyone know if this has a capacitive or resistive touchscreen?

It would have been a dream handset - Android with physical keyboard, Wow! - but processor is 'Too' slow. It may work well with v1.6 but it won't be sufficient for 2.1 or later upgrades.

Expected price by Experts.. close to 16 thousand in india.. and Gsmarena please check the specifications this phone is only compatible till 16 GB Max with 2 GB included also.
im currently using one of the acer touch screen models and its fine performance wise but not good in terms of battery.. hope this one will not disappoint in terms of battery
the worst thing abt acer is its hard to find good flip gripped covers in the market.
