To anyone shittalking and making fun of the screen..The joke's on you coz you don't know what you're talking about!The screen seems AWESOME.Imagine your surfing gsmarena.com from Acer Iconia on 1024X480..or the wide screen dvd you ripped recently on 4.8 inches of native 21X9 wide ratio..you get the idea.would be better if it was a led backlit lcd and with a dualcore though,as some people stated below

i have 2 acer laptops, one is acer ferrari and is 6year old and is stell runing smoth.
i have eten x500 smart phone (acer buy eten 2 years ago) and i cant wait to upgrade to ACER iconia smart!!!

Acer is not that bad. The first laptop I bought was an Acer. It was the best deal for the money back then, and even though it seemed cheaply built and the lid assembly started to crack around the hinges after a couple of years, it was built like a tank actually. I got it in 2005 and it's still alive and kicking. I installed a lightweight Linux distro on it and my dad uses it right now without any problems. So, they might not be the greatest devices in the world, but most of the time they're a fantastic deal for the money and they're more robust than they seem.
Also, when it comes to smartphones, the current Acer mobile phone division is the former Eten, which has been bought by Acer some time ago. Eten were head to head with HTC building the first touchscreen smartphones, years before anyone even heard of the iPhone.

Acer, please make screen mobile phone size even more bigger coz i am King Kong size super human. For me 4.8 inch screen too tiny and best for my pocket 6.6 inch screen... .

Look at Sony Ericsson for example, They have the potential to make the baddest phones on the market but chose to make the Arc with no front facing camera and the same amount of RAM as the X10 and little to improve the storage.
If a company was to make a truly advanced, ahead of the curve technology, They would go bankrupt because it would be too expensive to make and there too much competition out there.
(Sorry to use another Sony example, but Sony had one of the best MP3 player tech in the industry but then apple came along, fooling all those people to think that their iphone and ipod had true quality sound. How does a company compete with that? Sony ended up making less quality MP3 players because people no longer cared about it. And where do you see the Walkman brand today? Sony basically killed it off and integrated it into their cellphones.
The Acer phone is on my top 3 for sure. A nice widescreen phone that has 2.2!(I'm a X10 user). USB 3.0 barely used for tech at the moment, a few more years for that to become standard. I would hope that with releasing this phone in April, that Acer will get enough sense to have a processor bigger than 1GHz. And RAM to match that of the LG, Samsung and Motorola phones. Hopefully a bigger battery too, does anyone know the battery size??????????
The Acer Iconia 5 would be a huge improvement over my SE Xperia X10. I am not so pleased that im stuck with 2.1. I will have to root it in the future I guess. Gotta love Android! :D

As for the battery life’ with the power efficiency Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and the AMOLED display it should do well. My feeling is with the new upcoming USB3, Bluetooth 4.0 standard and multi cure processor why they don’t just hold the phone back and get it right the first time around, why should we buy this phone and months later its useless ;-(
