I am battling to get my A501 to connect wireless, need some help pease

Bought my tablet, used off e-bay, three months ago and have none of the above problems. Works well with factory installed system and have only down loaded apps from Play Store. I don't know why so many bad comments about this tablet, but it must be a fluke.

I bought my acer A501 2 months ago. Since that time i had no problem. I used the sim card for browsing internet. It works great on both wifi and sim.

Salespeople alluded to definite upgrade to ICS, they updated the cheaper a500 and left a501 owners out in the cold. Can't even be bothered to give any official announcements whether it will ever happen or not, just rumour mill. would not buy acer branded anything ever again.

Please could someone tell me why my tab keeps saying sim card installed shutting down.It does this randomly all the time then shuts down.I have not installed sim or anything,only had it 24hrs and just learning how to use.hope someone can help.thanks

never had any issues at all with this tablet at all and i must say im quite impressed with it, for those whom say it jams up or nothing works... read the manual and learn how to use it instead of just whining about it not working

AnonD-53389, 04 May 2012dont buy acer iconia a501,,,ive purchased this tablet 2mont... moreMy tab is even worse...just bought it for 3 weeks but the system reboots by itself and wipe out all my data not once but twice then the front camera gave a green 'matrix like' screen, so i sent it back and they took it for about 2 weeks. And now when i am playing game or surfing the net, it will just close the application. Regretted buying it!!

Got it extra with xperia play(no data plan) 1 month ago 'free' with $20/month data plan. Am quite happy with it, great for work, use it as a hotspot everywhere i go to allow my xperia play internet access, battery life is great when in that mode and not bad at all for other applications, tends to be a bit slow sometimes when accessing internet or screen orientation, screen has slight artifacts only rarely and it does have some weight to it, owned acer aspire one ZG5 when it first came out so i do like acer brand now, solid construction, i admit i do play The World of Magic MMORPG on it for $hit$ and giggles and find it to have very responsive touchscreen controls, all in all... happy camper :)

Don't buy Acer Iconia A501. My Iconia had camera problem 6 months after purchase. When acer technician diagnosed it, they said the mainboard was malfunctioned and could not explain why it happened just 6 mths after purchase (I never drop it and use it only for work). Acer also didn't want to give refund nor exchange with a new one. Don't buy it
