Tired waiting for this phone.
Acer cheat customer, they said Liquid E will get froyo in November, but until now, there is nothing.
And they said Liquid Metal will available at November, but there is nothing too.
I think they are overwhelmed to develop Froyo for their devices, so everything is delayed for Froyo.

Dingoo, 06 Dec 2010The AMOLED screen is better and brighter than any LCD scree... moreyour correct about that but the AMOLED still has broblems (eg, if inconatact iwth moisture/water, ther screen will be damnaged and also is more subject to screen burn and waring out)
But still,. the colours on a AMOLED ar way better than a typical LCD

Just need to find out when it will be released in the UK....news has dried up and no new info...Acer UK have even pulled it off their product listings and pulled the news feed that said it would be available in November...leaving everyone in the dark.
I would buy it from France....if it has the right 3G frequencies I require: 850, 1900 and 2100MHz, but it is proving difficult to find that out.

It is available here in France.
1 Euros with contract and 349€ with prepaid sim cards.

Even the official press release on 17th November on Acer.co.uk said it will be available in November.....still no info regarding a release date....why do companies post lies? They must of known a November release wasn't impossible.....guess it's all about building hype....I think they should get fined for false advertising!

the LCD on acer is brighter than samsung while AMOLED is yellowish background light

That's the main downside of LCD, that when you want black there is still light so you get like grey-black.
Amoled can give real black.
I don't have a preference for amoled/lcd, but what you are saying is wrong..

I need a new android phone that will work with 3G in both the UK and the USA...if these spec's are true then that will be the case. I currently use 2100 on the three network here in the UK. However I will be re-locating to the USA next year and wish to use their AT&T network which uses 850 and 1900. I am worried that Acer might simply release the UK version with only 900, 1900 and 2100.....anyone know if this will be the case?
