I recomend you to install the app "lgCamera" from Market in order to improve photo/video quality, since stock camera app make noisy and blurry images. I'ts a must if you have planned to use the camera.

Awesome phone needed to root and spoof the model name to run Gameloft games like 9mm, Backstab and Modern Combat 2 they all run with no lag whatsoever.

I got this phone two days agao and i simply love it. The touch and the overall features are really nice.
The only thing i woild like to know how it shows indication of call waiting when the other person is already on call? please reply

With subject to animesh_10 : Even my phone is shutting down by itself and could not be turned on unless the resetting the battery . Even though the phone gets off the led light keeps blinking . animesh_10 the only solution i have found is to put in charge during night times so that i don't miss my alarm or calls !

no option to enter codes anymore
tried every possible way of putting on a custom rom - all failed
every single thing i have read for the last two weeks from google searches just don't work
also there is no file manager as standard which is a silly
i jumped into trying to root/rom it to fast when all i needed to do was a system update via the : about phone menu

I just wish it had more space to st... moreyou can free up lots of space if you use titanium backup (paid version) to remove unwanted system app (acer stuff, etc.) AND integrate updates into rom. The updates of maps, gmail, market, flash etc are eating up huge amounts of the user app storage. Flash takes up ~17mB alone. Not sure if any other apps can do this successfully, but I can confirm that the full version of titanium backup works great.

The phone is shutting down by itself sometimes.
Did a factory reset still the same thing...Cannot turn on without resetting the battery.
No applications installation after factory reset
Current OS : Android 2.2.2
Can anyone say whats going on ?

For those complaining about the memory partitioning, root your phone and install Link2sd. Now you can install all the apps you want to your sd card. Enjoy your $128 phone, it's a little ripper!

Great phone for AU$128. I just wish it had more space to store apps. Even with root access, you still cannot free up much space - but you cannot expect too much at this price point.
For those who want to know how to root/flash/unlock this phone, Google "acer liquid metal whirlpool" to find the thread on the Australian whirlpool forums.

Needs memory partition updated. 2.3.5 takes up another 17mb of user space over 2.2 what with Flash 11 etc leaving even less for apps. Deleting some apps and reinstalling the latest version fresh without all the updates has helped a little (Google+ came down about 10MB) but could do with a bit more space on next ROM update as i guess 2.3 is likely to be the last big OS update.

Bought this phone a few weeks ago. I love it. The battery life is not the best. But all round its a great phone
