Acer has officially took the wraps off the Liquid S1, the company's first smartphone to pack a 5.7-inch display of HD resolution.

Under the hood of the Acer Liquid S1 hums a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Available in single- and dual-SIM versions, the smartphone features an 8MP snapper with LED flash, DTS Studio Sound, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Acer has taken advantage of the bigger screen with software extras like the Float User Interface, 2-Way Live Screen (screen sharing) and Voice Unlock for launching apps by voice.

The Liquid S1 will start shipping in Q3 2013 in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, UK and Germany, followed by Spain and Italy with a starting price of €349.
