a very bad experience for purchasing such a pda phone. always hang when turn on GPS.CAMERA no zoom in/out when take photo

very nice phone & very smart phone.no other like this.easy user.full golden print security system.no other can open my phone.this a very2 great superb phone.batry can up all day to surf internet.b4 this i use htc but batry can 1/2 day only.largers screen like cinema.anybody see my acer all say a very2 smart phone like james bond use finger print to open phone.wow..rightfully proud my acer.nice design.sleek model.elegant.exucetive.exclusive & many more.this powerfull phone pda.pocket pc like laptop use.all in one.100% im happy this phone.

Not so sure about... moreJust for the records, regarding the finger print scanner, I use it as an almost flawless 4-way navigation device by setting 'Motion Sensivity" to 'High', 'Delay before first repeat' to 'Fast' and 'Tap Sensivity' to 'Fast' (i.e. all three sliders all the way to the left), and the 'Nav Emulation' selector to 'ROCKER (4-way)' (these controls are under 'Start > Settings > System tab > Finger Navigation'). I loose the central button emulator (OK/Close) by setting these controls this way, but such function is available in the rocker wheel on the left side, anyway. Besides, I find the Golden Finger function a very good security function. I use it daily.
This device is quite exceptional. I have mine since last September, and I like it more and more each day.
Just my 2 cents...

the best think I like in the phone is the finger lock

This phone really sucks, its terrible!
Worst smartphone I have ever had.
1). Touch screen .... worst I have ever used. hit screen .. try again .... try again ... nightmare .. only really works with a stilus.
2). Build quality SHOCKING !!!! Battert clib on bac becomes so loose it drops off every time I anser the phone. Also the stilus falls out after 6 months of using it. I now have none left and they dont sell replacements.
So I have to use my fingers on teh screen .... oh wait that screen is RUBBISH.
dont waste your money by the HTC ...

Throughout the wide variety of touch... moreThere is an inaccuracy in the post above: the M900 does NOT have a standard 3.5mm jack for earphones - it uses the mini-usb socket for its earphones.
I have had my M900 since it was first released in June 2009. I think it is a great phone, but I'm thinking of changing it for 2 key reasons...
[a] I can't see the display outdoors. If you think about it, what good is it having a great GPS phone if you can't read the maps and follow the directions.
[b] I can't hear it except in a quiet room. Even with the sound turned up to its loudest it's very difficult to hear if there's background noise like traffic, or in a bar.
One final negative (but not a reason for changing it): the keyboard is not too good IMHO. The keyboard has two symbols per key. The alpha symbols are easy to read and are white on black on the right side of each key. The alternative symbols are orange on black on the upper left side of the key. In anything other than bright light your eye focuses on the white alpha char and you end up pressing the key slightly to the right of centre. The keys often don't work properly unless you press them dead centre.

just bought this phone last month..had a hard time tweaking the phone to optimal performance at first but was satisfied after setting it up the way i want it to(i flashed a lite rom and installed only the essential apps) and yes i agree with the comment posted above, dont use acer shell as it makes the phone barely usable due to insufficient memory. great camera btw...overall i rate it a 9/10 for all the features and for its qwerty keyboard and its big screen

I have an acerM900 and it is the best mobile ever.
The only thing is that the flash is not very good. The quality of the photos are great for a mobile.
Do not use the ACER shell is not very good and it is too heavy. Use the SPB mobile and you will have all that you need with no memory problems running 2-3 programs at the same time

Avoid Acer!
Even though this is the best WM slider-phone with true world 3G bands and really fast CPU, the hardware durability fails. More than enough people on 4winmobile.com, including myself, have had the mini-usb fail within 3-4 months of normal usage, compared to 2-3+ years with HTC-built.
Also, after sending it back to Acer to get the mini-usb repaired and taking almost a month's time to get the main board swapped out, the device came back with the caps-lock light non-operational and the screen not fully registering touches (as verified by the built-in tester program) and a few hard-resets.
