Absurdly slow, at any task, in any comparison. 4 real minutes to boot up, camera almost a full minute, freezes mid app with only 3 new apps installed other than factory bloat. Never had a slower, more infuriating phone that was an insult to the money you spend. Do not buy it, or you'll be angry with yourself.

I had the most terrible experience with the Alcatel 7; recently I received a text message from someone close to me 2 days after their death, prior to that the phone wouldn't ring and prior to that I wasn't getting phone calls at ALL. I've had 3 Alcatel 7 phone replacements. Discontinuing the defected phone to satisfy consumers would be the right decision for a company that cares about their customers. Perhaps we need to contact the BBB to report our unresolved issues.

People don't understand when they cannot afford a 700.00 POS that no one can afford. Look at it this way, yes I have the phone and yes it crashes apps constantly. I did research that, see limited memory on phone like windows uses a swap file, so when you run 27 apps and your phone is filled up then you run into collision and it does crash, put minimal amount of apps it will run better. I bought a new phone it has 3 GB of memory not 1 ,GB of memory. To see if it's the issues. See mfg willing put low memory on phones to force you to buy new. Fact is they could just as well sell a phone with memory upgrades to increase internal and external storages, but tech changes so fast that it's not cost effective for them. So you find a phone and it's great you love it great phone outside inside not so much, a modular phone could be developed and a screen and case could stay the same, just replace the insides. So basically fix a phone to be customized to your needs 3 boards inside, phone, sound, screen. Kinda like a computer a slide slot that connects each board so each one could be replaced to enhance your phone. Say mem got you down a simple question sell phones with different mem sizes, 1 GB 3 GB 5 gb and 8 gb internal. As to external as storage make it unlimited data so 128 gb needed or 256 gb then fine if you need 2 gb 4 gb 8 gb then good. See limited status, so you like phone but screen is damaged replace outside with a newer case. Say you like a Samsung case and a Alcatel 7 phone piece it together, by standardised case and phone parts you could build the ultimate phones, you want a better graphics card get one, better sound get one, phone calls lagging behind update it. Increase memory for sluggishness, phone has internally more memory, so no more internally storages , just externally storage that's an option too. Increase a phone to 256 gb internal and external storages or just 256gb external storages and 256 internally memory no storages just externally.

I've had some shitty phones in my day but this one takes the cake. Literally right out of the box it was incredibly slow; it crashes apps constantly, the camera app takes a solid minute to open most of the time, I've never been so mad at an inanimate object as I am at this phone daily. A little lag is expected from a cheap phone but this is downright infuriating. Don't buy, you will regret.
I can't wait to get a new phone so I can absolutely ANNIHILATE this Alcatel pos.

I could see if all you did was rock flagship phones switching to this would suck, but in all honesty you get what you pay for and in this case it lasted twice as long as the zmax pro everyone loved so much. Zte is the worst phone manufacture around.

This phone was very good at the start but has a lot of freezing issues, this phone is incapable of multitasking because it just slows it down. Any GPS related app such as Pokemon go or Google Maps slows it down a lot and sometimes crashes. Even Youtube fails to work with this phone sometimes.

Out the box the phone is garbage, i go back to the store and which it was purchased from and the sales person swore up and down it was something i had on the phone. NO! its something "with" this phone that it just doesn't corporate. It freezes, new apps crashes about 3-4 times before it actually opens. than the same crashing app(s) start lagging and freezing. i would not recommend this phone to my worst enemy

This phone SUCKS, freezes and lags ALL the time. When you try to answer a call it freezes, when you try to answer the call it freezes. This phone is just terrible and irritating. Even when you want to play a game it moves slow and always lagging.

This is the worse phone I have ever had, I absolutely hate this phone. Constantly freezes, it's extremely slow at any task. If I had to call 911 in an emergency I'd die waiting for the phone screen to appear. Everything is slow, slow, slow. Also goes to an app by itself when you're using a different app or just goes black for a minute and boots you out of whatever you're doing. Wish I stuck to Samsung. When I get to buy a new phone I will take great pleasure in smashing the shit out of this one.

I got this Alcatel 3 months ago and it's constantly freezing up, calling random people and overall it sucks. I would never recommend it to anyone

So I just found out the Revvl 2 Plus is actually called Alcatel 7. Couldn't find a site that had the phones specs until I went on Amazon and ordered a case. I'm like, cool haha.
I was actually debating on ordering the Galaxy a50 until I compared the specs with the Alcatel 7. Good thing I'm stubborn because I would have spent $330 on a phone with slower performance. The Alcatel 7 is a really good budget phone.I wouldn't recommend it if you care about camera quality. The camera sucks. Overall, great phone.

I have had the Alcatel 7 and service with metro for about 3 weeks now. This is actually a replacement phone from the factory. The first one I got when I started service was defective and a black line appeared on the screen. This phone seems to be a decent phone for a budget Alcatel phone. The display is by far the most impressive thing about the phone with the battery life being a close second. I haven't taken many pictures yet but so far the pictures I have taken with the phone have been ok. Mind you I'm not a photographer so as long as the picture I took looks like whatever I took a picture of I'm happy. Lol. I have experienced forced kickout from apps and slow internet performance. But TBH I don't know if it's because of the phone, or if it's because METROs service just sucks ass. My guess would be its the latter. I went from a galaxy S7 to this phone and I gotta say I really can't complain about this phone. The s7 I was using was laggy as all hell and would freeze up on me all the time. And the battery was garbage. This phone, as long as the internet is working correctly, plays videos and games with no problems so far. All in all, considering this phone cost me 0 dollars, this phone is great! Being a metro customer on the otherhand, considering it cost me 107 to become one, the terrible internet service I get, having to deal with METROs customer service and answering system, and the lack of ANY corporate stores or contact information for them. Being a metro customer, way not worth it!

I just got my new Alcatel 7 last night. I haven't really had the time to play with my phone as much as I would like to, but it seems like a pretty good phone so far. I've always had big phones and when my Blade Z Max crashed, this seems like a suitable replacement.
