alcatel Fierce 4 launches at MetroPCS, coming to T-Mobile this fall

Vlad, 29 August, 2016

After the Tru a couple of weeks ago, today MetroPCS is launching another new alcatel smartphone. This one is the Fierce 4 and it's already listed on the prepaid carrier's website (though you can't order it online yet, but that should change in the next few hours). It is also available in stores starting today.

The alcatel Fierce 4 boasts a 5.5-inch 720p touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 5 MP selfie snapper, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset (with a 1.1 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU), 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 4G LTE, and a 2,500 mAh battery. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The phone is priced at $69 (plus tax) after a $60 instant rebate, and can be yours with no annual contract on MetroPCS. The alcatel Fierce 4 is also coming to T-Mobile at some point this fall, though pricing for the magenta carrier hasn't been outed yet.

But with Marshmallow, you can now format an SD card to the system memory. Android should have made this a feature long ago, but that's a whole other rant.

Not too much different except the 5mp selfie vs 2mb and operating system is Marshmallow. The XL had 16gb memory also (11 available to use), so no difference there but since it's marshmallow, the available memory will probably only be 9.5 or 10gb.
