Alcatel Idol 5S and A30 discounted for Black Friday

Ricky, 21 November 2017

Alcatel has chimed in with anticipation of the biggest shopping weekend of the year with deals kicking off starting at midnight (Pacific Time) on Wednesday night and will end Cyber Monday night (November 27) or until supplies last.

Alcatel will offer $80-off its Idol 5S for a grand total of $200. This may be a good deal for those looking for an inexpensive smartphone that works across all four US carriers, including Sprint and Verizon. The Idol 5S offers a Snapdragon 625 CPU and 3GB of RAM. There are 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card slot.

The 5S also has a 5.2-inch 1080p display powered by a 2,260 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner. Something that’s not very common on smartphones at $200. Likewise, you also get dual front-facing stereo speakers.

The Alcatel A30 is also going to be discounted by $40 for a checkout price of $60. The Alcatel A30 is available either in GSM Unlocked or CDMA for Verizon only. It normally runs for $99, so one might get one as a backup or maybe a child’s first smartphone.

When the sale goes live, you can head to these links. You can just as easily look them up on Amazon later.

The Alcatel A30 would be okay as a daily driver if you have fairly simple needs
