I bought one touch s slate from dubai.it is super mobile phone..after 1yr it struggling a lot i mean not working properly.no proper service centers

just got this phone.it has a large screen and its quite thin and extremely light! one of the lightest smart phones on the market.its like a iphone 6 at the fraction of the price! long battert life as well!

Accessories not available the selling counters neither in INDIA nor in UAE.I have checked online shopping sites also. I was unable to find out atleast one thing.

Brilliant phone...except for one issue. I like my downloaded music loud so plugging it into my Makita radio via the 3.5 earphone piece no music comes through...though my Samsung does. Do I need to get a special lead or do something with the phone itself. My service provider where I got the phone have no answer........does anybody out there. thanks

Not a bad phone, but, if you want a phone to skype or do any type of video chat, don't bother. The front camera is crap, it is extremely dark, even under fluorescent lighting.

Ive had this phone for about 7 months now, and i've had little to no issues with it.
It's easy to customize, play games, watch videos, take videos, photos and add a rainbow of apps to your phone.
I've currently customized my homescreen and menu to a pokemon theme, it's fun and a nice addition to be able to access.
The camera is superb along with the fun photo editor which has produced some amazing photos, the only issue with the camera is poor focus and having to let it try and focus for a long time.
The phone will freeze and restart sometimes but not enough to make it a huge issue.
Overall the phone is so worth the money and with the big screen you're able to do so many things with the phone, i would strongly recommend getting a 16GB memory card for the phone as you will be wanting to download apps by the bucketfull.
Also, when i purchased this phone it came with the best/most durable earphones i've ever owned!

I have been using this phone for 6 months now. My first impression? Wow those specs and those looks! However, it's more than what meets the eye. In a bad way. This phone is terrible. Other than the 'fake' specs and the ergonomics of the phone and of course for cheap skates, the price, there is absolutely no reason to get this phone. Starting off with the phone itself. It looks good, I can give my thumbs up for that. No problem at all. However, the problem is the screen and more specifically, the bezels. It's too thin and for some people it's a plus. It just so happens I'm not a fan of that. In terms of liking it like that, it is a VERY big hassle to hold and not 'accidentally' hit the touchscreen and go to another application. I'm a big movie and video watcher on my phone and that small thing has made more than a volcano erupting it's ashes to the skies.
Sometimes while in the middle of watching a video or a movie, the phone suddenly vibrates and lights up all the keys which from what I heard is a very common problem on all alcatel phones. I guess I COULD let it slide but sometimes I thought I had a call or text but to only click the home button to find nothing. This is just a small interruption but I still hate it though.
The other very noticible problem or might I say 'Glitch', is the sudden pop ups of Google Voice Search. You don't have to do anything it will just randomly pop-up like an annoying child. You might counter and say, 'Why not turn it off?' Sure. Try shutting up a kid after giving what they want. They will find a new way to annoy you. The simple fact is, that damn glitch WILL NOT go away after a new software update. I hoped and tried but to no avail.
Probably the other cuss about this phone is the reather slow processor speed. It's like when you're rushing and this phone 'purposely' makes the time fly by while you stomp around and shouting at the phone to pick up the pace and the phone just chuckle in delight. Really annoying. Happens all the time if you're asking.
I'm not sure if all Idol S has the same problem as mine however when I try to take a picture, the brightness is turned up all the way to the max. For whatever reason and there is literally NOTHING you can do about it. NOTHING. If you try to go settings to turn it down, you will only find it being turned to whatever settings you're in and automically turns up again when you go back to the camera. It is fine if you like frying your eyes while taking a picture. Before you question, I did not turn on the night function. All of them are turned off which is not a lot if you're wondering. This is probably the most annoying glitch because I take a lot of pictures and that is really crucial.
From this point, I have my third to last gripe about this phone and it's the customization of my wallpaper. I'm just going to be straight and say this, there ARE people out there who prefer only ONE home screen page and sadly, I'm one of them. Alcatel, god bless them, decided to have at minimum, three. Which restricts the possibility of having a single picture on one page and instead splits one image to other pages. I personally don't like it. On the subject of wallpaper, there is no option of customizing the lock screen wallpaper. Whatever is on the home screen will be the same on the lock screen.
To finish with two more problems, the physical keys like the volume and pwer button are extremely fragile. Do not hold them for a long time or else it might turn mushy and feel really sloppy.
This last problem is the big one. Sometimes the phone breaks down on the touchscreen function for whatever reason. The solution to that problem is to hold down the power button until it's dead and revive it again. When it's starting, spam the screen by rapidly tapping it until the lock screen. It will be working by then. Repeat the process if it happens again.
My overall opinion of this phone is terrible. Not very loyal and do not live up much on it's claim but I just love it for some weird unexplainable reason. Do I recommend it? In this time of the year with more better specs lined up and cheaper alternatives I have to say no. Do not in any case get this phone unless you're drunk or getting it for someone you really hate. Even a Xiaomi is better than this abomination of a phone.

Features such as camera, design were nice about this phone and is a value for money, however it failed in terms of memory/data breakdown. Just overnight all my photos music and downloads were gone. Phones been repaired under warranty but it still exhibit all the same issues. Phone also resets my internet subscription. Cannot resell in the market as not much of an eye candy brand

this is an overall good phone but with some issues, some apps will stop you from unmounting an sd card or will even stop you from turning your phone off. the screen is one of the best that i have used, the colour is very well presented and the image is crisp and clear. the camera is good. the wifi is average, sometimes it would disconnect even if i was in range to my router. but the phone failed me after i dropped it on my kitchen table, the phone now no longer reads sd cards and the camera quality has vastly decreased. i am now using it as my backup phone

I was really happy with this phone, the features, screen and battery life etc, and it was a good price. But then, similar to another post on here, it kept dropping out on it's signal but still saying that it had a signal, so you don't know until you try to text or call someone. I took it back to the shop and they thought it was a SIM problem but it still kept happening with the new SIM. They have now sent it to be repaired - will see what happens when it comes back, but this does not seem like a one off fault with this phone so on that basis, I would not recommend it.
