Maybe my firmware version is the reason why the battery is performing so well. Hopefully that means all the people out there with battery problems will have better luck when the firmware gets updated.

If not, you may have lots of apps running in the background that are eating up battery. Otherwise I just can't understand why your battery is so much worse than mine.

Bought this on new year. Fall in love with the design, the camera and the screen.
But after updating to the current firmware, the battery drains very VERY fast. Usually it will last up to 8hrs+ by using either Wifi or data connection and I occasionally receive/sent text messages via Whatsapp.
Now the battery only last around 5hrs even if I turn off the wifi/data connection and dimmed out the screen brightness.
Now that's a big disappointment. Makes me feel regret buying this.

been using the phone for the last four months and it is surprisingly good given the competitive pricing! smooth operation, trouble free and the OS only hanged twice so far with minimal restart.

I don't notice any lag during game play but I do during the movie sequences. The speaker is ok but nothing special. Sound with headphones is good, comparable to my iPod.

It's my first superphone so I can't compare it to the other big players like the nexus 5 or the S4. I can tell you I love it and it's an amazing phone for the price. I haven't had any problems so far. It's very fast, has a great screen, and is easy to use. It's super light and thin, and the battery seems fine to me. I doubt it's as fast as some of the other phones, but it's a fraction of the price and I really don't notice any speed problems. I've played Real Racing 3 and the game play is smooth, but the cinematic sequences are a bit choppy. 2D games and web browsing are very fast. There's no LTE, but that doesn't bother me.
My only complaint: the One Touch desktop software downloadable from the Alcatel website won't connect to my phone. I don't know why. But connecting the phone to a PC by USB otherwise works fine and I can transfer files, so it's not a hardware issue. I'm guessing it's an issue with the One Touch software. So if/when I want to backup my phone I'll have to download a different backup app, unless the Alcatel software gets fixed.

Bought it yesterday and so far no problem.the screen is clear enough and the camera superb!!!nice phone with the low price. A bit not so satisfied is the battery life,I don't know whether it is true but I just charge to full and now left 83% due to wifi on and SMS

Hi. I'm Malaysian too. The build# should be 01002. So if ur firmware still at the old build#, that's mean ur phone is still not updated yet the firmware to a newer version. The obvious thing if u wanna know it has been upgrade, u'll notice an application called 'durian' but I've disable it coz I found it not useful and kinda annoying...

I was worried after reading some bad reviews about the battery, but I have no complaints about it. I'm not the heaviest user so maybe it's not the right phone for people who plan to be on it all day. But for my purposes, I can easily get 2-3 days out of it. I just downloaded real racing 3, so I'll update about how much battery that uses once I've played with it for a bit.

Don't know, haven't tried. I've only had the phone for a week and a half. I don't do much gaming. I last charged it 24 hours ago and since then I've played Angry Birds Star Wars for about 20 minutes, surfed for about 20 minutes, and sent a handful of text messages. I'm now at 73% battery. The 20 minutes of Angry Birds went through about 6%. On the weekend I used an offline map program with GPS for 1.5 hours (mostly with the screen off) and went through about 15% of the battery. I'll update if I do any other heavy use (likely this weekend).
