I cannot answer the phone when it is off. There is no way to answer without turning the phone on, when I do it cuts off the call. It apparently should show on the screen, even when it is off, that there is a call and then can be answered without turning on the phone. But it does not show...just a blank black screen while it is ringing. I hope that makes sense to you and if it does maybe someone can help me.

Ricky, 11 Jul 2015 i buy alcatel idol ultra yesterday..but when i am download... moreHaving same issue but no reason known yet. Still researching. Compared to my MotoX (1st) huge difference in WiFi downloads speed. Idol 3 just seems to drag, especially in Play Store installs and app updates.

I have an Alcatel bluetooth earpiece and I am NOT happy with it this is the worst bluetooth that I have ever had and the fact that my alcatel phone only works on Alcatel bluetooth is sad had I known that from the beginning I would have bought a different phone.
