sometimes there is a general lack of commonsense around here. Alcatels are generally cheaper than the competition. They may not have the most advanced specs, but you are paying much less than a comtemporary Samsung etc..

Yep. It's SGX5XT series cpu. And even it's cortex A7 SoC it can deliver faster than most other Cortex A9 quad cores. And it's battery saving also.

Nice but the downfall is the A7 cpu,A9 is rather old now....think about that

Why hav they given 1 gb of ram for such device.....!! They shuld gve atleast for 2 gb to compete galaxy note 2 and htc butterfly.
The same specification with display shal be givn by samsung galaxy s4 with min 2 GB of ram.

Are you sure that the gpu is PowerVR SGX554.It is the same gpu in IPAD 4(PowerVR SGX554MP4).So that should be pretty powerful.Mediatek is not known for powerful graphics in their chips.May be i am wrong and they decided to use a great gpu and take fight to other SoC makers.May be they need that power to drive all that pixels.
