Can run whatsapp through 3rd party app. I have an android phone as well and it has almost the same basic functionality (email, browsing, IM, notifications, hotspot, multitasking). I'm impressed at how well the OS runs with only 256MB ram. Apps are small so you can install a lot. Great phone for the price!

The bad phone I ever have. You cannot download nothing. PDF files,music,pictures all is impossible to download. I will change now. Operative sistem firefox is horrible. Same phone with Android will be a different phone 100%. Pleeeeeeaaaseee change operative sistem noooowww.

what??? 256mb ram... does not support whatsapp... no instaling apps from sd card.. such a terrible phone...

This would be an awesome phone if it weren't for the fire OS and the fact that it lacks multitouch. With fire OS, you can't run basic apps like Whatsapp which is truly disappointing.
