Nelson, 05 Dec 2009I think this is for German market only.now that would be strange..honestly i think Alcatel is launching this worldwide as they are too small to cater for certain markets. and it is not as if only Germans like chrome :)

Guys, had you seen the One Touch Chrome? It's the Tribe with cool Chrome colours :) . See it at the main Alcatel website

didn't have any problems and i love it =)! the bad thing is (at least here in my country) not compatible with mac.

now there is a new software available for the phone just download the update tool from the official site www.tctmobile.com and update your mobile , i'll update mine and post the results

Think of this price as a promootive because this is very low price for phone with this functions. Alcatel must have own reasons to sell at this low price
Maybe manufacturing is not that expensive who knows...After all its Chinese brand.

I think I'm going to get this phone this weekend. I was previously going to get the LG GW300 but I'm considering this one now instead, as it sounds much better and also my friend is getting the LG and I dont want the same! I love the scroller thing at the side of this phone, amazing! But one thing...what are the bad points about this phone?

2. It has Edge ... moreIndeed Internet settings were wrong, thanks to Orange.
I managed to start Parlingo and Skype (I created a new internet connection profile)
Following minuses remain:
- Can not display htm / html files stored in to the file system;
- Overprotective when it comes to accessing file system;
- Can not zoom in to the images;
- Battery life of 2 days at best;
Let's hope that Alcatel will come up with an update for the firmware to solve this issues.

I am using this handset Alcatel OT-800. Its good but all MP4 videos doesn't play, Word, excel, ppt didn't open............If anyone know how to keep menu icons vertically on the main screen plz post the method to do so...Thank u

When you are holding the phone with the screen up front, the memory card slot is on the bottom left side behind the mini rubber cover, very well hidden.
