Its is increasingly becoming inadvisable for anybody to buy an Alcatel phone. The price of the phone parts are too expensive. I bought the phone In Kuala Lumpur for around $480 and the Alcatel service center said I will replace my broken screen with almost $180. too expensive

I have had my phone for almost a year and the touch screen sucks and the slide keyboard started to lose it's buttons and i dropped it and the back cover fell off and so did the battery it's not that special of a phone i have news for you there you must baby it just like you probably do to your game systems and car to.

Okay, I have no clue what you do to your phones, but I've had my Alcatel 888 for almost a year, and I've had no major problems. The worst that came was it shut off by itself, and it's only happened once. Sure, the touch screen isn't as good as, say, the Samsung Galaxy S. But it's a good phone if you're under a budget, given its good QWERTY keyboard for texting and holds up relatively well. The calibration isn't too great, admittedly, but no one likes calibrating touch screens anyway. :P So in conclusion, I'd recommend this phone if you're in a budget crunch and looking for a relatively good phone.

Love this phone! But its made cheaply and doesnt last long. I have no idea how you could get this phone to last you 2 years. Ive been through 5 of these in 7 months. The texting on the phone is awesome but i think too much is what breaks it. My last one lasted me 2 weeks. The longest Ive gotten one to last me is 2 months. When they break the screen usually goes black or white. And that usually happens when i slide the keyboard out. Probably something with the wiring. This would be the perfect phone if they didnt keep breaking

I hate this phone to. most of the features dont work right and there is no preinstalled games.

When i purchased this phone, I was so happy of what they told me it can do. But the instructions are telling you what buttons do what and do not explain how to use each feature on this phone. they dont even got predownloaded games on this phone. you can go to mobilerated.com and get free games, but when you exit the game you got to go back and redownload it just to play it again. when you go to contacts and put a picture to contacts, it stays there till you plug the usb cord in and go to mass storage, after you unplug the usb cord, all of your work of putting the pics with contacts are gone, made me mad cause i have alot of friends. now on to the web, known as wap on this phone, if you turn your phone off you got to go back and reset all web setting. you cant get help online with this phone unless you want to pay, faq's dont help a bit. web works ok if you dont exceed 300 mb, 300 mb are you kiddin me. i cant copy a video from my pc with that unless you put a mini sd card in it, and yep it still wont. there is a number of thangs this phone wont do right and i have no time to explain it. just do not buy the alcatel 888a,you will be sad.

I hate this phone. My husband and i both have this phone. we got it 2 months ago and have already had to warranty out his phone and we got a refurbished phone instead of them sending us a new one. My phone has been fixed twice and then broke for good this time. I will never get this phone again. plus there are no covers for it! it is a horrible phone and i wouldn't recommend this phone for anyone.

I think you should have more covers for the 888A phone to choose from. All other phones have so many to pick from.

I got this gift as a Christams present, and have had it for 6 months. The phone has broken twice already! The touch screen has had errors both times, but Alcatel has given me a repaired phone each time! Other than the screen messing up, this phone is amazing!

Why is there no decorated hard snap-on phone cases made for the Alcatel One Touch-888? If you make the phone, why don't you make the cases too? That way you have less broken phones.. All phones should have cases made for that phone.
