The device is excellent considering the investment, which is in my case 1 RSD (~0.1USD). For this price I can't complain. It has everything that every Android has to have in order to be certified by Google and the device is certified by Google. Market, GPS, WIFI, touchscreen, tons of apps...It won't satisfy an average Android user though, i use this device as my secondary work phone and for that purpose it's amazing, never dropped a call, agenda, calendar, mail, alarm sync with Google, has decent browser, ebanking works...However, for multimedia and fun it's not recommended, small screen somewhat unresponsive, does not allow watching movies or videos, it will play them but good luck with seeing anything. Texting is also a pain, small screen allows keyboard rotation, but resistive nature of the screen makes precise typing impossible. Phonebook, dialer and contact management is great, like in every Android phone. If you don't expect updates and all the great multimedia apps anf features and you need a phone for work with Android on board, this is a great phone + it\s cheap!

Hi,
I am about to tell you what I think about my new Alcatel 890 android phone.
I wasn't really looking for a new phone ,but this was on offer.I payed 59 euros for it ,in Athens ,Greece.
After 10 days of using it ,I can tell you that in my opinion this phone is USABLE .By usable I mean that the phone is functioning in a reliable way without crashing.I much prefer using the USB cable to charge it with my pc, included charger is slow to charge the device.
The 2MP camera is usable but very basic. Main issue is it can't zoom,but still it does produces acceptable images.
Overall ,I am very pleased with this phone .For the price I really can't see any real competition.Regardless of it's price ,it is a basic Android phone ,that is easy to use .

feel free to download the latest version of the Alcatel PC Suite from our website www.alcatelonetouch.com attached to this email you will find the procedure to download it; please install the application with the phone connected to the computer and the option COM PORT selected on the phone; once the application has been installed on your computer, you can press F1 to access the help menu.
When selecting the country has to select global or ALCATEL ONE TOUCH Worldwide

Pavle, 15 Mar 2012Can some one tell me how ton tranfser songs from this phon... moreSearch for file manager,click on bluetooth, search the song,press long enough and go to share/bluetooth and get to transfer as long as you have your bluetooth on and the other persons' as well...get to the screen...pull down the upper viewer and see as it is being transferred to the other phone....cheers!!

I try to download it from the homepage from Alcatel, but during instalation I have to specify the type of the phone, and there are two possibilities 980 (instead of 890) and something else, I don't remember exactly, but no 890.
Does anybody has the correct link for the software?
