Hello All some feedback on ICS upgrade
with 2.3 this phone made me crazy
very slow + freeze + reboot every time...
then
- I tried the ICS OTA but blocked at 99%
- I tried 1 week ago the ICS upgrade with USB and every steps were good but still in old version.
I was waiting for Nexus 4 but like everybody know... it's like a legend.
Then I retried ICS USB upgrade and REMOVE AND PUT back the battery where I can see in lot of post and it has worked well
(currently living in France)
---> now this phone ROXX very fast no freeze no shut down

I don't really care much about rooting since it's for my wife's basic use, but just for the sake of having the latest and greatest! hope it'll release soon for MENA.

Anyway even if it becomes available I won't update my phone as I've seen many complaints from people not being able to root ICS on this device. Besides, GB works just fine for me, but that is just my humble opinion.

Just go to Settings>About Phone>Software Update. If it is available to your country, a pop-up message will inform you of firmware update and if ICS, will tell you you will lose your 3D launcher.

the ICS update is pretty smooth, I'm havign less hangtimes. I have this for like, 4 months now.
the problem is Im having trouble rooting the new Stock ICS. I used Bin4ry method but Im stuck at the part wherein It sends the "Full Restore" command on your phone, I click restore but it doesnt push through. hope someone helps me about this.

So i have been using the OT-995 for about a month now and i have to say this phone is perfect i recommend it can anyone tell me how i can upgrade my android to ICS 4.0 and what is FOTA how do i use it and where do i find it becouse i am new to all this upgrading stuff and will i still have the One Touch 3D launcher after i have upgraded it becouse i really like the 3D launcher.

Checked for system update via FOTA and was surprised to see ICS. Downloading the firmware now, hope it will be successful =) I'm from the Philippines by the way.

Can anebody tell me how to unlock my OT 995 for other SIM cards. For Mаcedonian users, my phone is bought in VIP and it is locked, so I want to unlock for T-mobile and ONE.

I've been using the 995 for about a month now , so far so good.it has a few quirks to it,, but most androids do.its still early days yet but for the price, im impressed. My last phone was a motor raze.the995 is just as fast..build is ok.screen good..

jackie, 15 Nov 2012from which country found alcatel phones.Perfect phone, easy to use, his large screen makes everything more beautiful , the OS that is installed is wonderful, and for me personally the fact that is larger is an extra added, the camera makes solid pictures, the video recording is in HD so you have to get bigger SD card. ALL IN ALL i would rate it 9.0 ( i used different LG phones ,4 years before i had this phone)

Hi, i just upgraded succesfully to ICS and its nice and smooth now but unfortunately i lost my root! I try to use SuperOneClick again but it didnt work. Does anyone know how to root OT 995 with ICS?
