-I've tried a lot of low end phones this one is a nice phone without the uneccessary icons that you wouldn't use.
              - The Display is nice. The wallpaper that you will use will be like a theme for the phone.
              - The camera is just an extra bonus.
              - Sound is fine
              - Handy & Stylish
              - Nice for girls
              - Great for an extra phone
              - 8 /10

I was given this phone for my 11th birthday and it was my first phone. i thought it was brilliant and i would recommend it to anyone. I had the purple one and i think it is wicked.

Käthe, 07 Jul 2008I have got dozens of photos in the memory, but can't get a ... moreDear Kathe,

I have just purchased the C635 for Euros 49/- which had the following in the box:-
                    1. Phone.
                    2. Charging adapter.
                    3. USB cable with jack for C635.
                    4. Mini-CD-ROM with PC Suite software from BVRP.

I installed the software and connected the USB cable when asked and all is well.

The software is excellent, giving access to Phone-PC-Phone images, phonebook, etc., PLUS I can connect the phone via the PC to e-mail and WWW using GPRS.

Alcatel have a C635 PC-Suite DC6-C on their website "alcatel-mobilephones.com" but I could not get it to download ???.

Re. the USB cable: you should Google for it and try and find a USB cable supplier who may have the proper configuration.

At least, at this time, you do know that hardware and software are available.

                    Good Luck,

                    ScottyJavea

I have got dozens of photos in the memory, but can't get a cable/CD-ROM (or download software) to move them on to my PC. Tried to email one, and it never arrived. Can anyone help?

Help! I have an Alcatel OT-C635 (as you can probably tell as otherwise I wouldn’t be posting here!) which I purchased from Tesco on their pay as you go scheme in last October. A few days ago the memory ‘deleted’ itself - I’m not sure why, it could have been a low battery but unsure… - anyway all my photos, recordings, entries in the address book went, but most annoyingly so have my settings for MMS sending and WAP connection, which is really, really annoying, as I have some (new) pics on there I can’t send without the MMS and WAP working. I have been on to Tesco customer care, who tried to send the settings, but couldn’t for some reason. They told me how to program in the manual settings, which I have done, but it is still not sending the pics to email addresses or phones! Please can anybody out there who knows what I should do tell me, or can you point me in the right direction. Chris.

Hi Anne, I was looking on http://www.gsmarena.com/alcatel_ot_c635-reviews-1837.php as I have a problem with my C635 (see my post please!) and saw your post about not being able to download pictures off the internet. I think the following will help you:

Go on to an any internet page with images (but not Google)
Go on Options (left softkey) and select Enter Select Mode.
Then go on to the image you want (a dotted line will appear around it) and press OK.
You will then be asked to save it, follow the prompts.
Then go back into Options and select Exit Select Mode.
You will have now saved the image in the My images folder.
I hope you find that useful! All the best, Chris.

p.s. Sorry if the info is slightly wrong, as this is how I remember it - I can't currently access the internet!

I've had this phone for a few months now and am extremely happy with it. I got a deal from Tesco Pay As You Go for £24.95,which included £10 airtime. I was just upgrading my phone from a very old Motorola and wanted one with a camera for fun pictures. Not bothered about downloading, uploading or whatever loading them, just nice to have my own screensavers. Only want to phone people and text them and it does both well enough. Liked the look of it feminine but NOT pink. Can't seem to receive WAP or MMS messages even though I asked Tesco to text me the settings. Slightly annoying as I think it should work but sure if I could be bothered to call them they could clear up the mystery for me. Still a bit in the dark ages when it comes to mobile technology I'm afraid. Am sure my 7 year old will help me out soon!

I had it for half a year and although it is very pretty, it was also very slow and some of the functions didn't work. It was irritating at times. Also the graphics are... very Alcatel. A matter of taste, I guess.
