Oh my god, this phone gets better & better! I only put Shrek on my daughters phone!
Bluetooth player, MP3 player, video recorder/player, camera (although the quality isn't 100%), Java games (free downloadable ones too!), WAP, MP4 player (although the MP4's didn't seem to work, I had to convert them to 3GP's, a reasonable webcam (i've had worse resolution from a proper webcam)All for less than £50!

Forget the top of the range £400+ phones, if you want something cheap and cheerfull with more features than you can shake a stick at, then this phone is for you. My daughter is only 9 so an expensive phone is out of the question.

      Also available in black!

If anyone wants any advice on utilizing all the features on this phone just give me a shout! I'd give it a 8/10 for features and 10/10 for value for money

The phone supports file sharing and stereo mp3 playback through bluetooth.

Daniel, your unit should have been loaded with GPRS settings for SMART, GLOBE and SUNCELLULAR but that is if your unit comes from versatile or its retailer around the Philippines. Just try to check it. But if in case it don't have maybe because you got it from another source, here is the configuration for globe.

          For GPRS settings:

          Profile Name: MyGlobe GPRS
          Homepage: http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.asp
          IP address: 203.177.042.214
          Profile type: Normal
          Bearer choice: GPRS
          Bearer name: Globe gprs
          Authentication: None
          APN: www.globe.com.ph
Then select Confirm to save the bearer settings.

          For MMS Settings:

          Profile name: MyGlobe MMS
          Service centre:http://192.40.100.22:10021/mmsc
          IP address: 192.040.100.020
          Profile type: Normal
          Bearer choice: GPRS
          Bearer name: Globe mms
          Authentication: None
          APN: mms.globe.com.ph
Select Confirm to save bearer settings

If you still have problem, just get in touch with me at nelson_maus@yahoo.com.

              This phone is FANTASTIC!!!

I know its Alcatel, BUT........ This has all the features you could want on a phone retailing at 4 or 5 times its price.

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter for her birthday, she has gone through so many phones over the past couple of years that I didn't want to spend too much on a phone which potentially could have a two week life span judging by the way she treats them (she went through 3 in a week!).

She basically wanted one which played MP3's and Bluetooth and I chose this one purely by accident.

It has a rubber type coating so it doesn't get scratched, the memory is rubbish but I managed to get a 2Gb memory card for just over £10 which is better for putting MP3's on rather than downloading them to the phone (this seems to take ages!) you just drag and drop them into the folders.

I was told at the shop that she wouldn't be able to play her MP3's in Bluetooth (i.e. Bluetooth speakers) but they were wrong, I picked up a lovely set of speakers for £40 and I am pretty envious of the set up she now has. I have a Sony Ericson which has nowhere near the spec that she now has!

The only drawback is that the keypad design looks cheap (typical Alcatel) unlike the outside which looks great! And the camera is rubbish, but for £50 I've spent a lot worse!

Get your kids one for Christmas, they won't be disappointed!

sorry to interrupt, but I think alcatel needs to check for some of the debugs on their phone software, in some instances the phone would be scanning for the musics on my media card what was surprising it doesn't have the system to compare the names of the songs saved, some of the songs would be played twice, plus there is no consistency in the software installation when using an alcatel phone for only 6 days, it's prone to hang - up some of the images in some of their units seems to be look untidy or rather to say unfinished, good to have a replacement for the first unit that i've had that seem to have a software deffect.

in general please improve the softwares and the mobile hardware it needs alot of more attention than having a nice looking phone.

The phone can play 3gp and mpeg4 video files (if they do not exceed the screen size to much, so converting or downsizing might be needed).

                                      hello,
can it play a movie also?
                                      avi mpeg?
or maybe u have to convert the files to the video files that the gsm can support?
                                      grtz
