hi there!!i see that you're happy of this phone. I bougth it few days ago and i can't manage to install properly driver. The phone is well connected but the software alcatel PC suite doesn't manage to establish the connection with the phone. Apparently it's coming from the usb cable driver which is not installed. My computer is an XP version 2002.
Can somebody help to solve my problemn and start to appreciate this mobile phone!!!!

kaye, this phone does not support mini sd card. Please use micro sd for this.

it's almost 1 day already since I had my C701 phone.. It works fine! I love the orange face cover which has a rubbery feel.. :)
I only have problems with the speakers and the stereo headset.. When you close the clamshell, you won't be able to hear the music very well since the speakers are located in the earpiece! You can hear the volume at its loudest when the clamshell is opened, having the earpiece exposed.. Also, the headset is not very comfortable! They don't fit very well in my ears.. They easily come off when I move around..
So far, despite those problems I mentioned, it's working great for me! I won't be using this for a long time anyway coz' I'm waiting for the arrival of my Sony Ericsson K810! :) So I'll be giving away my C701 to my brother when I get my new K810!!

I just bought mine a while ago! it looks so great! i have the orange colored c701 and it looks expensive, even though it's not.. hehe.. :) I love it!!! i bought a 1GB microSD and it's working great.. what i love about is the mini USB port of the phone.. you can use any kind of mini usb wire to plug into your phone and charger!!!! :) if only this thing came with a 3.55mm jack port! it would awesome!!!

alcatel is not in pleaseur in my country they love nokia , sony erricson , samsung ....... but alcatel is thr last thing they can think about :( but really in my deep i love it

totally confused: go to "My Settings" then "ringtones" then press the right button 8 times then select "silence". That should do it.
As for me, I don't find it irritating. I find it cool, actually :D

you should be able to change the sound for open and close the clamshell - the english manual (from my-onetouch dot com) mention it on page 44 - you properly need scroll down in the list to find no sound option amoung the various ring tones
PS I wanna have this phone! It looks very cool and the features in the manual are very promising

If you read the manual for this phone, its says it supports the operating systems: "Windows 2000/ XP".

you should have read reviews on this mobile before buying it
this dont work with windowsxp home editon only works on vista
