I've had this phone for about a year now, having bought it on eBay India and had it shipped to the UK.
For my needs it has been absolutely fantastic. I don't need any Internet functionality on my phone, I have computers for that. What this phone gives me, above all else, is fantastic battery life. I tend to use it for about 60mins calls and to send about 50 texts every day, I don't use it to listen to music, but I use it as an organiser. I only have to charge the battery every 7-10 days, which is the best performance I've ever experienced from any phone.]
I love the feel of it, with it's soft-touch finish and it looks stylish with it's gun metal trim. Buttons are well spaced for my big hands and texting is easy and fast.
The only downsides I can think of it are:
The screen isn't easy to see in bright light or particularly good for images.
When texting, apostrophes slow it down quite a bit, so it takes a second to catch up.
I've actually used the accelerometer to measure distance for running once or twice and it seemed pretty accurate, but I'm not too bothered about using it for that, it was more out of interest.
Oh I've dropped it a couple of times too onto hard floors, with no damage (yet!).
I'd definitely recomend it to anyone who wants a phone for basic functions (call, text) that looks good and has amazing battery life.

I have been using this phone for 8 months now. I bought this phone on ebay.in for Rs. 1450 promotional offer from seller "bombay mall".I would rate it as one of the best phones i have come across in the recent times. when i showed this phone to my friends the first instance i would hear was "how on earth a phone with so much features and good build quality comes for such a less price". This phone makes out to be one of the value for money class of phones. For a person who looks for a low budget phone with all the common features this is a decent handset. I have never faced any issue with call quality and hanging so far. The one feature i admire most in this phone is the pedometer function. Great for anyone who is health conscious. The interface is simple and intuitive and packs a lot of punch when it comes to smart utilities. The build quality is amazing and the battery is a 1000 mah which lasts for five days on standby mode. when compared to some of the high end phones music player this has the best audio output. But on the lower side the camera is 1.3 megapixel and is only good for indoor settings and does not have a flash. This handset would make up as a excellent backup phone at any time.

But if u r planning to buy this for your parents or elderly people, dont go for this. The font size is small and not easy to read. as a spare handset this is one of the best buy available in the market.

I'm not sure how many of the review here are actualy posted by real buyers and there a possibility that Ebay sellers themself are posting goods about the phone. Well I also bought it from Ebay and here's my review:

Prons:
1. There is not even a chinese phone available in market at this price with all the features.
2. Can you imagine a g-sensor in a fone worth 1550/-
3. Battery is simply awesome
4. Decent headphones, not very load but pleasent music quality
5. Torch is an add on
6. Scratch free body panel
7. Network reception is simply awesome, tri-band phone
8. Camera quality is decent
9. v2.0 Bluetooth, lets you even play music via bluetooth. Also while receiving files via bluetooth you can choose storage (phone, memory card)
10. Keypad is very soft and responsive for txting
11. Lets you transfer business cards via bluetooth
Cons:
1. Not very loud music both on headphones and speakerphone, but can manage at this price
2. Not hot swap memory card slot
3. Though bluetooth is v2.0 but seems little slow while transferring big files
4. Gprs is there but very basic, can only check email
5. Speaker is on back side so which can even low the ringtone if kept on bed.
6. No java support
Conclusion: Overall phone is good buy, Its a challenge to chinese phones in market, they can not produce any thing like this on so cheep price.

Available for nearly US$32 on ebay.in........anyone expecting java and blah blah iin this.... Wow..should also for touchscreen,GPS, office file reader...Guys dont compare lemon and orange...(can t use apple eg LOL)

Great battery backup. Surprising features like bluetooth stereo, pedometer and can also play fm in bt headset. alcatel pc suite is also excellent. video player is great and can play in landscape mode. wonderful built quality. total value for money

I am using this handset since from last 15 days. The voice is just like eco during the conversation. No response in service center in mumbai. (India). Over all this handset is great on its class.
